Formawerx Titanium Cordlock.
The Formawerx Titanium Cordlock is a premium, precision-engineered keyring alternative designed to provide a secure, durable and stylish way to carry automotive keys, modern key fobs and everyday accessories.
Developed as a sophisticated alternative to traditional metal split rings, the Titanium Cordlock combines an innovative locking mechanism with exceptional materials and minimalist design. The result is a practical, lightweight key accessory that offers reliable key retention without the inconvenience of conventional metal keyrings.
Precision CNC-machined from Zero RT Titanium to Swiss manufacturing standards, the Cordlock delivers an excellent combination of strength, corrosion resistance and refined appearance.
Its innovative locking mechanism was originally conceived by an engineer with experience at Lockheed Martin, following an extensive development process focused on improving the functionality and simplicity of traditional keyrings.
The Cordlock uses high-strength, military-specification 4mm paracord with a stated tensile strength exceeding 1,000 lbs. Unlike traditional metal keyrings, the soft paracord helps protect expensive automotive keypieces and electronic key fobs from scratching, abrasion and unnecessary metal-to-metal contact.
Designed to complement the complete Formawerx keypiece collection, the Titanium Cordlock is equally suitable for standard vehicle keys and modern electronic key fobs.
Whether replacing a worn conventional keyring, protecting a premium automotive key or enhancing everyday key organisation, the Formawerx Titanium Cordlock offers an elegant combination of engineering, functionality and contemporary design.
What This Product Does:
The Formawerx Titanium Cordlock functions as a secure key holder, using a precision-engineered locking mechanism and high-strength paracord to hold keys and electronic key fobs together.
Its primary functions and features include:
- Secure Key Retention: Uses an innovative locking mechanism to keep keys and key fobs attached to the paracord loop when correctly assembled.
- Alternative to Traditional Keyrings: Replaces conventional split rings with a more refined and convenient key attachment system.
- Protects Keys Against Scratches: Soft paracord helps reduce metal-to-metal contact that can damage premium keypieces and electronic key fob housings.
- Convenient Key Organisation: Allows multiple compatible keys or accessories to be carried together in a compact arrangement.
- High-Strength Cord Construction: Features military-specification 4mm paracord with a stated tensile strength exceeding 1,000 lbs.
- Durable Titanium Construction: CNC-machined Zero RT Titanium provides excellent strength, lightweight handling and corrosion resistance.
- Nail-Friendly Design: Eliminates the need to force open traditional split rings, making key attachment and removal more convenient.
- Premium Appearance: Offers a distinctive minimalist design with Machined or Frozen Matte finishes.
- Personalised Styling: Available with a range of paracord colours to complement different vehicles, keys and personal preferences.
- Universal Key Compatibility: Suitable for Formawerx keypieces, standard mechanical keys and compatible modern automotive key fobs.
The Titanium Cordlock is a key retention accessory. It does not contain electronic components and does not alter the operation of the vehicle's ignition, immobiliser or remote locking system.
Why Choose Formawerx Titanium Cordlock:

Inspired by the legendary Porsche 917 racing car, the RennSwitch pays tribute to one of Porsche's most distinctive motorsport innovations. In pursuit of lightweight performance and engineering simplicity, Porsche racing engineers incorporated a fixed, drilled key design into the ignition system, creating a functional switch that reflected the uncompromising philosophy of endurance racing.
Formawerx has reinterpreted this iconic concept for modern Porsche vehicles, combining authentic motorsport-inspired design with contemporary precision manufacturing.
Each RennSwitch is CNC-machined from Formawerx Perpetua Stainless Steel™, providing outstanding durability, corrosion resistance and a distinctive premium finish. Manufactured to Swiss watchmaking standards, the keypiece offers exceptional craftsmanship, precise detailing and a substantial, refined feel during operation.
Designed to match original Porsche factory specifications, the RennSwitch replaces the removable ignition control keypiece fitted to compatible Porsche Entry & Drive systems, providing a stylish and functional interface for operating the vehicle's ignition.
Available in silver or black, with Machined or Frozen Matte finishes, the RennSwitch transforms an everyday action into a more engaging driving experience.
Whether replacing a worn or damaged original ignition control or upgrading the appearance of a modern Porsche interior, the Formawerx Legends RennSwitch provides an exceptional combination of functionality, craftsmanship and Porsche racing heritage.

- Engine Starting and Stopping: Allows the driver to initiate the normal engine starting and stopping process through the vehicle's existing ignition system.
- Entry & Drive Integration: Designed for compatible Porsche factory Entry & Drive ignition assemblies.
- Direct Replacement Fitment: Replaces the original removable ignition control keypiece without changing the vehicle's underlying electronic security system.
- Precision Mechanical Engagement: Manufactured to original equipment-style dimensions for accurate fitment and controlled rotational operation.

Created as part of the FormaWerx Legends collection, the keypiece combines functional key operation with a highly detailed design inspired by the air-cooled Porsche 911.
Rather than using a traditional plastic key head attached to a separate metal blade, the Legends 911 Keypiece is machined from a single billet of stainless steel to create a solid, substantial and precisely balanced key.
Once duplicated to match the vehicle's original key profile, it can be used as a functional replacement key for compatible Porsche mechanical locks and ignition systems.
The design is intended to complement the engineering character of classic Porsche models while offering a more substantial and durable alternative to ageing original keys.
What This Product Does:
The FormaWerx Legends 911 Keypiece is designed to perform the same basic mechanical functions as the original compatible Porsche key once correctly duplicated.
Depending on the vehicle, it can be used to operate compatible:
- Ignition lock.
- Driver's door lock.
- Passenger door lock.
- Luggage compartment lock.
- Other mechanically keyed locks using the same original key profile.
Its primary functions are to:
- Provide a replacement mechanical key.
- Reproduce the vehicle's existing key-cut profile.
- Operate compatible Porsche lock cylinders.
- Replace an ageing, damaged or unattractive original key.
- Provide a stronger single-piece metal key design.
- Offer a premium alternative to a conventional replacement key blank.
- Improve tactile feel and visual appearance.
- Provide an additional usable key when correctly duplicated.
Precision-Machined Construction:
The Legends 911 Keypiece is CNC-machined from FormaWerx Perpetua Stainless Steel™.
The manufacturer describes the key as being produced to Swiss-watch machining standards and built to OEM Porsche factory specifications.
The single-piece construction eliminates the conventional separate plastic key head found on many original keys.
This creates a keypiece designed to feel:
- Solid.
- Precisely weighted.
- Balanced.
- Substantial in the hand.
