What This Kit Does
The scuttle panel trim sits at the base of the windscreen and forms part of the upper dashboard assembly. This kit restores both the appearance and functionality of this area.
It helps:
• Provide a clean and finished dashboard appearance
• Protect underlying components beneath the windscreen
• Reduce glare and reflections on the glass
• Ensure proper sealing between trim and windscreen
• Secure the panel with correct OEM-style fixings
Replacing all related components at once ensures a
consistent fit and finish.
Why Scuttle Panels and Components Fail
The scuttle area is highly exposed to sunlight and heat, making it prone to deterioration over time.
Common issues include:
UV damage
Direct sunlight causes fading, cracking and brittleness.
Seal deterioration
The scuttle seal can shrink or degrade, leading to poor fitment.
Broken or missing fixings
Clips, screws and covers can become damaged or lost.
VIN cover wear
The clear VIN window can become scratched, cloudy or brittle.
Age-related wear
Over time, materials lose their original appearance and structure.
Symptoms You Need a Replacement Kit
• Cracked or faded dashboard scuttle trim
• Loose or poorly fitting panel
• Missing nut covers or fixings
• Worn or damaged scuttle seal

• General deterioration of the dashboard top area
Replacing the full kit ensures a complete and long-lasting restoration.
