A Porsche flexible brake hose for the front brakes of the 1984–85 Porsche 928. It provides the hydraulic connection between the fixed pipework and the caliper. Price is each
Fits
- Porsche 928 1984–85.
Model family supplied: 928 (1978-1995). This family listing does not extend the stated product application beyond 1984–85.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
What This Product Does
The hose carries pressurised brake fluid to the front caliper. Its flexibility accommodates movement at the wheel while connecting the caliper to the rigid hydraulic pipe.
Functions
- Conveys hydraulic pressure to the front caliper.
- Accommodates suspension and steering movement.
- Provides a sealed link between fixed pipework and the moving brake assembly.
Technical Details
- Brand: Porsche.
- Installation position: Front.
- Stated application: Porsche 928, 1984–85.
- Component type: Flexible hydraulic brake hose.
Symptoms of Fault
- Cracks or splits in the hose exterior.
- Visible swelling when the system is pressurised.
- Brake fluid escaping from the hose or its connections.
- Brake drag associated with an internally restricted hose.
Why Replacement Matters
Ageing or damaged hoses can compromise the hydraulic connection or restrict fluid movement. Replacing a hose with confirmed deterioration addresses that defective component as part of brake-system maintenance. Brake noise, vibration or pulling can have other causes, so these symptoms alone do not establish that the hose needs replacing.
FAQs
- Does this hose fit every Porsche 928?
The stated application is 1984–85. The supplied 1978-1995 model-family label should not be taken as confirmation of compatibility with every production year. - Are clips, washers or other fittings included?
The supplied information does not specify additional hardware or package contents. Confirm these details before planning the work. - When should a brake hose be renewed?
Confirmed cracking, swelling, leakage or internal restriction warrants attention. No replacement interval is specified for this product in the supplied information.

DOT 4
Having an extremely high boiling point and lower viscosity than required, it meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. Also suitable for vehicles with ABS.
Vapour Lock formation
This sort of habit leaves room for the Vapour Lock, the formation of vapour bubbles due to boiling of the brake fluid that replace the normal fluid and are compressed, thereby sending the brake pedal to its fill stoke (spongy pedal). The origin is incident in the porosity of the tubes that make up the braking circuit, which in time draw moisture into the fluid, drastically reducing the boiling point. The result is a reduced braking efficiency.
Brembo Premium Brake Fluid
Brembo Premium brake fluids have a higher boiling point that exceeds the standard, thus offering superior resistance to the Vapour Lock and ensuring braking efficiency even at low temperatures. With high anti-corrosion properties and resistance to oxidation, Brembo brake fluid also allows for long-term unaltered chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in operating circuit; therefore, preserving its integrity.
