What This Product Does
The brake pads press against the rear discs to generate the friction required to reduce vehicle speed. OEM replacement material with controlled modulation and release characteristics for road use. This formulation reflects Ninemeister,s specialist experience with Porsche maintenance and braking upgrades.
Functions
- Provides friction against the rear carbon-ceramic brake discs
- Supports progressive brake modulation during pedal application
- Releases cleanly as brake pressure is reduced
- Maintains a consistent low-to-medium friction level
- Replaces worn rear brake-pad material
Technical Details
- Position: rear axle
- Application: road use
- Disc compatibility: carbon-ceramic brake discs only
- Compound: low-metallic, resin-bonded friction material
- Material content includes steel and aramid fibres
- Friction characteristic: consistent low-to-medium level
Symptoms of Fault
- Brake-pad wear warning displayed
- Reduced remaining friction-material thickness
- Squealing, groaning or grinding from the rear brakes
- Vibration or judder during braking
- Uneven pad wear across the rear axle
- Changes in pedal response or braking modulation
Why Replacement Matters
Brake pads are routine wear components exposed to friction and repeated heat cycles. Renewing worn pads helps retain consistent contact with the disc and reduces the risk of the pad backing plate reaching the carbon-ceramic disc surface. Inspect the discs, calipers, wear sensors and fitting hardware at the same time so that any uneven wear, contamination or restricted caliper movement can be addressed.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering. These pads are not compatible with conventional steel brake discs.
FAQs
- Can these pads be used with steel brake discs?
No. Ninemeister specifies compatibility only with carbon-ceramic brake discs. - Are wear sensors and fitting hardware included?
The supplied product information does not confirm these items. Inspect the existing sensors and hardware and obtain replacements separately where required. - Do the brake discs need to be changed with the pads?
Not automatically. The carbon-ceramic discs should be inspected for condition and measured according to the vehicle manufacturer's service procedure. - Is bedding-in required?
Follow the pad and vehicle manufacturer's bedding-in guidance after installation, avoiding unnecessary heavy braking until the friction surfaces have been correctly conditioned.
