9m Sports Stainless Steel Non-Valved Silencer
Upgrade your Porsche 987.2 Boxster or Cayman with the 9m
Sports Stainless Steel Non-Valved Silencer, designed to provide a more
purposeful sports car exhaust note, improved throttle response and a useful
reduction in weight.
Fits:
- Porsche Boxster 987 MKII 2.9L 2009-12
- Porsche Boxster S 987 MKII 3.4L 2009-12
- Porsche Cayman 2.9L 987C MKII 2009-12
- Porsche Cayman S / R 3.4L 987C MKII 2009-12
Precision welded from durable 304-grade stainless steel, the 9m system provides a 6kg weight saving compared with the original system and is designed as a direct replacement for the factory rear muffler. No cutting or welding is required.
What Does the 9m Sports Silencer Do?
The rear silencer controls the sound of the exhaust gases as they leave the engine. The standard Porsche system is designed to balance sound, refinement and everyday usability, while this 9m sports silencer provides a more pronounced sports car exhaust note.
Unlike a valved exhaust, this system uses a fixed non-valved design, providing its sports exhaust character without electronic or vacuum-operated valve control.
9m also states that the system provides a noticeable improvement in throttle response.
Why Upgrade?
The 9m silencer offers several benefits over the standard
rear exhaust:
- More distinctive sports car exhaust sound
- 6kg weight saving
- 304-grade stainless steel construction
- Improved throttle response claimed by 9m
- No exhaust valve system required
- Direct replacement for the original muffler
- No cutting or welding required
- Choice of black or silver slash-cut exhaust tips
The non-valved design is particularly suited to owners who want a permanently sportier exhaust character without requiring switchable exhaust valves.
Direct Bolt-On Installation
Designed specifically for Porsche 987.2 Boxster and Cayman models from 2009-2012, the silencer uses a direct bolt-on installation.
9m states that the system complies with emissions regulations and is designed not to trigger the Check Engine Light.
Porsche 987.2 Boxster & Cayman Sports Exhaust Systems
Upgrading the rear silencer is an effective way to give a Porsche 987.2 Boxster or Cayman a more distinctive exhaust note while also reducing weight.
The 9m non-valved sports silencer combines 304-grade stainless steel construction with a 6kg weight saving and direct bolt-on installation. Its fixed sports configuration is particularly suitable for drivers who want a stronger exhaust character without the additional complexity of a switchable valve system.
For owners searching for a Porsche 987.2 Boxster sports exhaust, Cayman stainless steel rear silencer, lightweight Porsche 987 exhaust or non-valved Porsche sports exhaust, the 9m system provides a straightforward upgrade designed specifically for 2009-2012 models.

• All Soul Performance Products components are backed by a renowned Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use
SOUL Valved Exhaust System for Porsche 992.2 Carrera – Unlock the True Sound of the Flat-Six
Take your Porsche 992.2 Carrera to the next level with the SOUL Valved Exhaust System. Designed specifically for the latest generation of the iconic 911, this performance exhaust delivers the sound and emotion missing from the factory setup. Stricter emissions regulations have made the OEM exhaust more restrictive than ever—muting the character of the flat-six. Our cat-back solution restores the legendary Porsche tone with a richer, higher-pitched note that’s aggressive when you want it yet refined enough for daily driving.
Engineered with a precision X-Pipe muffler, the system eliminates unwanted drone in the 2,000–2,400 RPM range while enhancing exhaust flow for improved sound and responsiveness. Whether your 992.2 is equipped with Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) or not, this system integrates seamlessly with factory valves and hardware. It’s also fully compatible with SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters and future upgrades.
Key Benefits:
• Deeper, smoother, higher-pitched sound without excessive volume
• No drone design thanks to our proprietary X-Pipe 992.2 Carrera muffler
• Full valve functionality for factory-like operation
• Modular compatibility with OEM cats or SOUL Sport Cats
Experience the exhaust note your Porsche 911 deserves—crafted for enthusiasts who demand both performance and refinement.
Construction: The Porsche 911 is a precision-built machine that is designed for a lifetime of driving excitement. We believe it should have an exhaust system meets or exceeds the lofty quality standards set by Porsche. That is why each 992.2 valved exhaust system is proudly built in the USA using mandrel-bent, thick-wall .065″ T304L stainless steel for maximum durability, strength, and performance.
Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas ensures maximum weld penetration, strength, and long-term durability under extreme conditions. Each water jet–cut flange is manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 standards with ultra-tight tolerances of +/-0.003 inches, guaranteeing exact alignment.
We fabricate this exhaust using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as efficient heat sinks during the welding process. This not only prevents distortion and warping of the exhaust components but also preserves fixture integrity. The result is a high-performance exhaust system engineered for precision, longevity, and seamless installation every time. It is an exhaust befitting a Porsche.
Bolt On and Go: The SOUL Valved Exhaust System offers a richer, smoother tone. It is built to last a lifetime, and it is a breeze to install. Every performance exhaust component undergoes rigorous quality control and is fixture-tested to guarantee precise fitment. To ensure your order arrives safely, all parts are carefully foam-packed and protected in transit, so you receive your exhaust system in perfect condition and ready to install. And that installation is a snap. Each system includes brand-new high-grade hardware and valve adapters for hassle-free installation.
Lifetime Warranty: Don’t be afraid to push your 992.2 Porsche at the racetrack. SOUL performance exhaust systems are backed by a Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use!

Maximize the potential of the 992.2 Carrera with a non-valved exhaust system designed for serious sound and performance – perfect for the power seeker or track enthusiast. Built around a full 3″ flow path, our high-flow catted Performance Exhaust Systems will yield maximum power and aggressiveness while still maintaining as smooth of a tone and refined character as possible.
• Fits Porsche 911 (992.2) Carrera (Base/ T / S) models 2025
• All Soul Performance Products components are backed by a renowned Lifetime Warranty for both street and track use
• Designed and built in-house at our Willow Grove, PA facility

Take your Porsche 992.2 Carrera to the next level with the SOUL Performance Turbo-Back Exhaust System—engineered for track junkies, thrill seekers, and serious Porsche enthusiasts who demand maximum power, sound, and performance.
Unlike our Valved Exhaust System, this is a non-valved, turbo-back design that delivers a richer, smoother, and higher-pitched exhaust note under all driving conditions. Available in two configurations, the Street Version features our high-flow SOUL Sport Catalytic Converters for improved sound and power, while the Competition Setup does not include sport cats and offers uncompromised track performance.
Built with full 3-inch tubing throughout, including a precision-engineered 992.2 Carrera X-Pipe muffler section, this system maximizes exhaust flow while enhancing drivability. Dual resonators refine the exhaust note, and integrated Helmholtz anti-drone tubes minimize resonance in the 2,000–2,400 RPM range for a smoother experience.
To prevent check-engine lights, the factory valves are mounted on a custom bracket that mimics OEM functionality - even though the system itself is non-valved. This is a complete turbo-back solution, not a modular setup.
It is not compatible with the Porsche factory exhaust or any other SOUL exhaust components. It is designed for enthusiasts looking for an all-in-one solution or those planning future upgrades such as larger turbos and fueling systems.
Key Benefits:
• Aggressive turbo-back design for maximum power and performance
• Integrated Helmholtz anti-drone tubes reduce cabin resonance
• Full 3-inch tubing for optimal exhaust flow and sound quality
• Future-proof design supports larger turbo and fueling upgrades
Whether on the street or the racetrack, the SOUL Performance Exhaust System unleashes the full character and performance of your Porsche flat-six engine.
