Information
Adapt Motorsport E-Throttle drive-by-wire conversion kit for Porsche 964 and non-VarioRam 993 intake manifolds. It combines a Bosch 74mm electronic throttle, CNC-machined aluminium components and Bosch T-MAP sensing, with complete configurations adding intake adaptors and standard fuel rails.

What This Product Does
The conversion replaces the original Porsche throttle centre section fitted to 964 and non-VarioRam 993 intake manifolds. A compatible aftermarket ECU can manage throttle operation electronically and may also use the E-Throttle for idle control, removing the need for the ageing factory idle-air bypass valve.
Functions
- Converts the intake system from mechanical or cable-operated control to drive-by-wire operation.
- Measures intake-air temperature and manifold pressure through a combined Bosch T-MAP sensor.
- Allows compatible engine management to regulate idle through the electronic throttle.
- Removes cable drag, stretch and resistance associated with multi-part mechanical linkages.
- Supports ECU-dependent functions such as cruise control, automatic throttle blipping, traction control and boost control.

- Bosch 74mm electronic throttle with connector kit.
- CNC-machined aluminium throttle intake adaptor.
- CNC-machined aluminium resonance tube with flap assembly, sealed roller bearings and vacuum actuator.
- Bosch 1.15 bar T-MAP sensor option for naturally aspirated engines.
- Bosch 3.0 bar T-MAP sensor option for turbocharged applications.
- Complete two-bolt and three-bolt configurations are offered with standard fuel rails and intake adaptors.
Kit Configurations
- Centre-section kit: throttle adaptor, resonance tube assembly, Bosch electronic throttle, selected T-MAP sensor, connector kits, fasteners and vacuum hose.
- Complete two-bolt kit: centre section, two-bolt intake adaptors in 34mm, 39mm, 40mm or 42mm sizes, 964 manifold adaptors and standard fuel rails.
- Complete three-bolt kit: centre section, three-bolt intake adaptors in 42mm or 43.5mm sizes, manifold adaptors and standard fuel rails.
Additional Parts Required
- Vacuum solenoid and canister.
- Air filter and suitable adaptor.
- Rubber sleeves and hose clamps for the intake-manifold ports; compatible original Porsche parts may be reused.
- Compatible electronic accelerator pedal, aftermarket ECU, wiring and engine-specific calibration.

Why Replacement Matters
Drive-by-wire conversion removes ageing cables and complex mechanical linkages from the throttle-control system while allowing a suitable ECU to manage throttle position and idle behaviour electronically. Correct wiring, programming and safety calibration are essential, so installation should be completed by an experienced technician familiar with aftermarket engine management.

- Does this fit a VarioRam 993 manifold?
No. The conversion is specified for Porsche 964 and non-VarioRam 993 intake manifolds. - Which T-MAP sensor should be selected?
The 1.15 bar option is intended for naturally aspirated applications, while the 3.0 bar version is provided for turbocharged engines. - Is an aftermarket ECU required?
