This part is not sold separately by Porsche and normally requires replacement of the entire A/C housing.
Note: Please check the orientation of the high and low-pressure pipes at the connector and compare them with those fitted to your vehicle before ordering. Alternative pipe orientation is available with part number 99657390101/1.
The premium-quality air distribution housing with evaporator core (HVAC component) designed for Porsche vehicles. This unit is part of the heating, ventilation & air-conditioning (HVAC) system that directs cooled air from the evaporator into the cabin and supports climate control performance.
The air distribution housing with evaporator receives refrigerant-cooled air from the A/C system and routes this conditioned air into the vehicle cabin. The integrated evaporator cools and dehumidifies incoming airflow before it travels through ducts and vents. This ensures efficient cooling performance and contributes directly to occupant comfort, especially in warmer conditions.
• Application: Center-mounted air distribution and evaporator housing unit in the HVAC system (right-hand drive cars in many listings). It replaces the original Porsche part 99657390101 and is designed to fit directly into the factory climate control assembly.
• Function: In operation, the evaporator core inside the MAHLE housing absorbs heat from the incoming cabin air as refrigerant circulates through it. The housing channels this cooled air through the HVAC blower and into the passenger compartment at controlled rates. A quality housing ensures proper fitment, stable mounting of the evaporator core, and reliable airflow distribution - all critical to effective climate control.
An air distribution housing and evaporator assembly that is worn, clogged, cracked, or inefficient can result in:
