Requires 2 per caliper, that's 4 per car. Price is shown for each damper.
Replacement anti-vibration shim (also called a damping plate or brake pad shim) is designed to sit between the brake pad backing plate and the caliper piston in front calipers. It helps to dampen vibrations, reduce brake noise, and promote even pressure distribution on the pad surface during braking. These shims are critical to minimizing squeal and enhancing the quietness and refinement of the braking system. Constructed to match original Porsche dimensions.

• Location: Front brake calipers (in between pad backing plate and piston)
• Function: Absorbs and dissipates vibration generated during braking, reduces squeal, ensures uniform pad wear
These shims perform a key role in maintaining the refinement of your braking system. Over time, original OEM shims can degrade, detach, or corrode, leading to:
• Brake squeal or noise under braking
• Uneven pad wear or uneven brake torque on opposing pads
• Increase in pedal vibration or unpleasant feedback
Replacing these shims whenever the brake pads are changed ensures the system remains quiet, stable, and correct in performance. A properly fitted damping plate helps preserve the premium driving and braking experience expected of Porsche vehicles.
