Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto bring your smartphone's key functions directly to the vehicle, while the 7-inch touchscreen provides intuitive access to navigation, media, radio and vehicle information.
Rather than installing a generic aftermarket head unit, PCCM Plus gives owners a Genuine Porsche solution designed around the vehicle's existing controls, displays and assistance systems.
Modern Connectivity for Your Porsche
PCCM Plus transforms the everyday usability of the Porsche 991.1 and 981 by introducing the connectivity expected from a modern infotainment system.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow compatible smartphones to connect without requiring a cable, providing convenient access to navigation, telephone functions, music and supported applications.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are integrated, while the USB connection supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, media playback and fast charging.

An integrated video application also enables compatible video streaming services, subject to vehicle, country and connectivity restrictions. Video functionality is restricted while driving.
Vehicle and Trip Information
PCCM Plus goes beyond entertainment and navigation by integrating useful vehicle information.
The trip menu can display and analyse driving and
consumption data, including information such as:

Installation and Compatibility
Porsche recommends professional installation of PCCM Plus by a Porsche Centre or suitably experienced Porsche specialist.
A factory-installed radio or infotainment system must already be present in the vehicle for PCCM Plus installation.
The cables and adaptors required can vary according to the individual vehicle specification and are not necessarily included. Required connection components must therefore be identified and purchased separately.
Availability of individual functions can also depend on the vehicle model, specification and country.
Important Information

Designed for the PCCM+ communication and infotainment system, the control unit supports the electronic integration and communication required between compatible vehicle equipment and the PCCM+ system. The included fiber optic cable provides the optical data connection required within the relevant vehicle communication network.
What This Product Does:
The PCCM+ control unit forms part of the electronic architecture required for compatible Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus installations.
Its role is to support communication and integration between the PCCM+ equipment and relevant vehicle systems.
Depending on the vehicle specification and PCCM+ installation, the control unit helps:
- Support PCCM+ system communication
- Interface with compatible vehicle electronics
- Transfer system data
- Support integration of the PCCM+ installation
- Maintain communication with compatible connected components
- Provide the required electronic interface for the system
- Support correct operation of the PCCM+ equipment
The exact functions available depend on the vehicle specification, installed equipment and PCCM+ configuration.
What Does The Fiber Optic Cable Do:
- The supplied fiber optic cable carries digital information using optical signals rather than a conventional electrical data conductor.
- Fiber optic communication is used in compatible vehicle multimedia networks to provide fast and reliable data transfer between connected electronic modules.
- The cable helps establish the required optical communication path between compatible components.
- A damaged, incorrectly connected or interrupted fiber optic link can prevent one or more components on the network from communicating correctly.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Electronic control-unit faults can produce a range of communication and infotainment-related problems.
Possible symptoms can include:
- PCCM+ functions not operating correctly
- Infotainment system communication faults
- Certain connected functions becoming unavailable
- Intermittent system operation
- System failing to initialise correctly
- Communication-related diagnostic trouble codes
- Connected components not being recognised
- Loss of communication with another module
- System restarting or behaving inconsistently
- Functions remaining unavailable after normal system checks
These symptoms do not automatically confirm failure of the control unit. Power supply, wiring, connectors, fiber optic connections, configuration and other connected modules should also be diagnosed.
Why Replacement Matters:
If the PCCM+ 9X1 control unit is confirmed faulty, replacing it can help restore the communication and integration required for correct operation of the compatible PCCM+ system.
Replacement can help:
- Restore system communication
- Restore correct PCCM+ integration
- Resolve confirmed control-unit faults
- Restore communication with compatible connected components
- Correct intermittent electronic operation caused by the failed unit
- Restore functions affected by communication loss
- Provide the required control component for a compatible PCCM+ installation
The included fiber optic cable also provides a replacement optical connection where the existing cable is damaged, missing or unsuitable.
