Located within the vehicle's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system, the blower draws air into the HVAC unit and forces it through the cabin air filter, heater matrix, evaporator and ventilation ducts.
By varying blower speed, the climate-control system can regulate how much heated, cooled or fresh air reaches the passenger compartment.
A correctly operating blower is essential not only for cabin comfort but also for effective windscreen demisting and defrosting. If the original blower motor becomes noisy, intermittent, weak or stops altogether, replacing it restores the airflow needed for normal heater and air-conditioning operation.
What This Product Does:
The cabin blower provides the airflow used by the vehicle's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system.
Its functions include:
- Drawing air into the HVAC system.
- Moving air through the cabin filter.
- Forcing air through the heater matrix when cabin heating is required.
