The OE Match Front Brake Caliper Hose is a premium-quality replacement flexible brake hose designed to transfer hydraulic brake fluid from the rigid brake line to the front brake caliper on compatible Porsche models. Manufactured to OE specifications for fit, pressure resistance and durability, this brake hose ensures consistent hydraulic pressure delivery, providing safe, responsive and dependable braking performance in all driving conditions.
Fits:
- Porsche 924 2.0L 1976-79
- Porsche 924 2.0L 1980-85
Constructed from high-strength, multi-layer reinforced rubber with corrosion-resistant OE-style metal end fittings, the hose is engineered to withstand extreme hydraulic pressures, repeated steering and suspension movement, elevated braking temperatures and continuous exposure to moisture, road salt and road debris. Precision-manufactured for direct OE-style installation, it provides a secure, leak-free connection while maintaining the flexibility required for unrestricted front suspension and steering movement.
What This Product Does:
- Transfers hydraulic brake fluid to the front brake caliper.
- Maintains consistent hydraulic braking pressure.
- Allows unrestricted steering and suspension movement without placing stress on the brake line.
- Provides a secure, leak-free hydraulic connection.
- Supports smooth, responsive and reliable braking performance.
- Withstands high operating pressures and braking temperatures.
- Helps maintain balanced front braking performance.
- Forms an essential part of the vehicle's hydraulic braking system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Brake fluid leaks around the hose or fittings.
- Soft or spongy brake pedal.
- Cracked, split or perished rubber hose.
- Bulging hose when brake pressure is applied.
- Corroded or damaged metal fittings.
- Reduced front braking performance.
- Brake warning light caused by low brake fluid.
- Front brake caliper sticking due to internal hose collapse.
- Uneven front brake pad wear.
- MOT or vehicle inspection failure due to deteriorated brake hose condition.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Brake hoses are subjected to constant hydraulic pressure, repeated steering and suspension movement, high braking temperatures and continual exposure to harsh environmental conditions. Over time, the reinforced rubber can deteriorate internally and externally, while corrosion may affect the metal fittings, increasing the risk of leaks, pressure loss or restricted brake fluid flow.
- A failing brake hose can reduce braking performance, create an inconsistent brake pedal feel and, in severe cases, lead to partial or complete hydraulic brake failure. An internally collapsed hose may also prevent brake fluid from returning correctly, causing the front brake caliper to bind and accelerating brake pad and brake disc wear.
- Replacing a worn or damaged front brake caliper hose restores safe, reliable hydraulic pressure and consistent braking performance. The OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, premium-quality reinforced construction and long-lasting durability, helping maintain the braking performance, safety and reliability expected from your Porsche.

OE Match flexible hydraulic brake hose designed for the front braking system of the Porsche 928 (1978–1982). This hose maintains consistent hydraulic pressure during braking while absorbing movement between the chassis and the front wheel assembly. It helps preserve pedal feel, braking balance, and overall system safety, while protecting against leaks, kinks, and line fatigue.

Diagram ref no 1
This front brake hose connects the rigid brake line to the front brake caliper, allowing hydraulic fluid to transfer under high pressure while accommodating suspension movement and steering articulation. Manufactured to meet original specifications, it provides factory-correct fitment and dependable performance, making it suitable for both maintenance and restoration of early Porsche 928 models.
Brake hoses degrade internally and externally over time due to heat, moisture, and brake fluid exposure. A worn hose can swell, crack, or restrict fluid flow, leading to poor braking performance or failure. Replacing it with an OE-match hose restores proper brake response and maintains system safety.
When to Replace:
• Visible cracks, bulges, or leaks in the hose
• Spongy brake pedal or inconsistent braking response
• During brake caliper, rotor, or pad replacement
• As part of preventive maintenance on older vehicles
• Hose age exceeds manufacturer-recommended service life

DOT 4
Having an extremely high boiling point and lower viscosity than required, it meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. Also suitable for vehicles with ABS.
Vapour Lock formation
This sort of habit leaves room for the Vapour Lock, the formation of vapour bubbles due to boiling of the brake fluid that replace the normal fluid and are compressed, thereby sending the brake pedal to its fill stoke (spongy pedal). The origin is incident in the porosity of the tubes that make up the braking circuit, which in time draw moisture into the fluid, drastically reducing the boiling point. The result is a reduced braking efficiency.
Brembo Premium Brake Fluid
Brembo Premium brake fluids have a higher boiling point that exceeds the standard, thus offering superior resistance to the Vapour Lock and ensuring braking efficiency even at low temperatures. With high anti-corrosion properties and resistance to oxidation, Brembo brake fluid also allows for long-term unaltered chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in operating circuit; therefore, preserving its integrity.

Diagram Ref No 7
The rear brake hose is a flexible hydraulic connection between the vehicle's rigid brake pipework and the rear brake caliper. When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure travels through the braking system and brake hose to the caliper, allowing the caliper pistons to apply the brake pads against the disc.
Unlike rigid brake lines, flexible hoses must accommodate suspension and wheel movement while continuing to contain high hydraulic pressure. This makes their condition particularly important to safe and consistent braking.
Over time, brake hoses can deteriorate through age, heat, contamination, repeated flexing and environmental exposure. The outer covering may crack or perish, fittings can corrode, and internal deterioration can restrict fluid flow even when the hose appears acceptable externally.
Replacing a worn or damaged hose with this OE Match Rear Caliper Brake Hose helps restore secure brake-fluid delivery and dependable rear brake operation.
What This Product Does:
- Carries pressurised brake fluid to the rear brake caliper.
- Provides a flexible connection within the hydraulic braking system.
- Accommodates normal suspension movement.
- Allows movement without relying on rigid brake pipework to flex.
- Helps maintain hydraulic pressure during braking.
- Supports correct rear caliper operation.
- Helps provide consistent brake pedal response.
- Maintains a sealed brake-fluid circuit.
- Connects associated rigid brake lines and caliper components.
- Replaces a cracked, leaking, restricted or deteriorated brake hose.
- Supports safe and predictable braking performance.
- Provides an OE Match replacement for compatible Porsche applications.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Visible cracks in the hose.
- Perished or deteriorated outer rubber.
- Bulging or swelling.
- Brake fluid leaking from the hose.
- Wetness around hose fittings.
- Corroded end fittings.
- Damaged hose connections.
- Abrasion or chafing.
- Brake hose twisted or incorrectly routed.
- Soft or spongy brake pedal.
- Increased brake pedal travel.
- Vehicle pulling under braking.
- Uneven braking performance.
- One rear brake dragging.
- Rear brake slow to release.
- Excessive heat from one brake.
- Uneven brake pad wear.
- Brake-fluid reservoir level dropping.
- Brake warning light.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The brake hose must safely contain the hydraulic pressure generated whenever the brakes are applied.
- If a deteriorated hose begins leaking, hydraulic pressure and brake fluid can be lost. This may reduce braking performance and potentially compromise the affected hydraulic circuit.
- Replacing a deteriorated hose before complete failure is essential for maintaining a dependable braking system.
