What This Product Does
The housing forms part of the cigarette lighter installation. Its condition matters when restoring the surrounding interior fittings, particularly where damage or looseness affects the assembly.
Technical Details
- Brand: Porsche; specified as an OE Genuine component.
- Existing product reference: 99665210210.
- Part number recorded in the supplied diagrams: 99665210201.
- Application cutoff supplied for this housing: up to 2001.
Symptoms of Fault
- Visible cracking or deterioration around the housing.
- Damaged retaining features or movement at the mounting point.
- Rattling associated with loose interior fittings.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing damaged housing components helps return the lighter installation to its intended fit and appearance. Confirm the condition of neighbouring fittings before installation rather than assuming that replacing the housing will resolve an electrical fault.
FAQs
Does model year affect suitability?
Yes. Match the housing to the vehicle specification and the supplied 2001 cutoff, not simply the overall production period of the model.
Which reference should be checked?
The supplied record contains 99665210210 and diagram part number 99665210201. Confirm the required number against the vehicle identification details and existing component before ordering.
