- 911 1984–86 diagram: CARRERA G15.72/73 and TURBO G30.36/37. For 1987–89, diagram quantities are 2 for CARRERA and 4 for TURBO, CARRERA M491; these are assembly quantities, not kit contents.
- 964 diagram identification: CARRERA 2 M249CARRERA RS, quantity 2; TURBO, note -92, quantity 2. The 993 diagram records quantity 2.
Symptoms of Fault
Joint wear may cause clicking, acceleration-related vibration, excessive play or a knock as drive takes up. Escaped grease around a damaged boot also warrants inspection. Similar symptoms can arise from mounts or other drivetrain components, so confirm the cause before replacement.
