This pin is inserted through the mounting bracket of the gas strut or damper and into the mounting point on the lid or hinge assembly. A circlip or cotter pin keeps it in place, allowing the strut to pivot correctly while ensuring secure retention. Without a solid pin, the strut could become loose or detached, compromising lid safety and function.

What This Product Does These front lid gas struts support and control the movement of the bonnet so it can be opened and closed smoothly and remain held in the raised position.
