Every time the door shuts, the latch engages with the striker and holds the door securely against the body. Correct striker position is therefore essential for smooth closing, proper door alignment and reliable retention while driving.
Repeated door operation can gradually wear the contact surfaces of the striker. Loose fasteners, corrosion, previous adjustment or door hinge wear can also cause the striker to become damaged or incorrectly positioned. This may result in a door that requires excessive force to close, rattles while driving or does not sit correctly against the surrounding bodywork.
These OE Match Door Striker Plates provide high-quality replacements for worn, damaged or unsuitable original components. The two references may correspond to different installation sides, so correct left/right application should be confirmed before ordering.
