Information
Drop link set. Standard replacement.
This control arm set (left + right) provides a complete replacement for the front lower suspension arms on Porsche 997 models. Installing both arms as a matched pair ensures consistent alignment, even tyre wear, and balanced handling on both sides of the vehicle.
SET OF 2
Porsche 997.1 C4 / C4S 2005 -2008
Porsche 997.1 Turbo 2007 - 2009
Porsche 997.2 C4 / C4S 2009 -2012

Diagram ref no 5
This product supersedes Porsche's old part numbers:
- 99734307302 (LEFT) / 99734307402 (RIGHT)
Ideal for suspension refreshes, MOT repairs, or performance handling restoration.
This control arm maintains precise suspension geometry and keeps the wheel correctly aligned under all driving conditions. It absorbs vibration and road shock through its integrated bushings, helping to deliver smooth ride quality and sharp steering response. By keeping the wheel carrier securely located, it ensures predictable braking, stable cornering, and the refined handling expected from a Porsche. Replacing the arm restores proper suspension behaviour when the original bushings or joints have worn out.
Over time, the control arm and its bushings can wear, crack, or develop excessive play, which negatively affects steering accuracy and suspension stability. This can lead to clunking noises, wandering steering, uneven tyre wear, and reduced confidence during high-speed driving. Installing a new arm restores tight, precise handling and ensures the car remains safe, stable, and compliant with factory performance standards.

Diagram Ref No 2
Manufactured to OE specifications for fit, strength and durability, the drop link features precision-engineered joints designed to withstand constant suspension articulation, road impacts and varying load conditions. It is an essential component for preserving suspension performance, steering response and driving comfort.
What This Product Does:
- Connects the front anti-roll bar to the suspension assembly.
- Transfers stabilising forces between suspension components.
- Helps reduce body roll during cornering.
- Improves vehicle handling and stability.
- Maintains balanced suspension operation.
- Supports precise steering response and driver confidence.
- Contributes to improved ride quality and overall vehicle control.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Knocking, clunking or rattling noises from the front suspension.
- Excessive body roll during cornering.
- Reduced steering precision and handling response.
- Increased vehicle instability over uneven road surfaces.
- Excessive play within the drop link joints.
- Uneven suspension performance between sides of the vehicle.
- Visible damage to ball joints, bushes or protective boots.
- Suspension noises when driving over bumps or rough roads.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Front drop links are subjected to constant movement, vibration, road impacts and environmental exposure. Over time, the internal joints and protective components can wear, leading to looseness and reduced effectiveness of the anti-roll bar system.
- A worn drop link can compromise vehicle handling, increase body roll and create unwanted suspension noise. As wear progresses, the anti-roll bar becomes less effective at controlling chassis movement, which can negatively affect cornering stability and overall driving confidence.
- Replacing worn drop links restores the correct operation of the anti-roll bar system, improves suspension performance and helps maintain safe, predictable handling characteristics. An OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, reliable durability and long-term performance, ensuring your Porsche continues to deliver the precise driving dynamics it was designed for.

When to Replace This Part
• When replacing front anti-roll bar drop links
• When removing the stabilizer link from the suspension assembly
• If the original bolt is corroded, rounded, stretched or damaged
• If the bolt has already been removed and Porsche procedure requires replacement
