What This Product Does:
It’s a fastener / clip / retainer that secures the engine cover panels / trim cover in place, locking them so the panels don’t come loose under vibration or movement.
Symptoms / Signs It May Need Replacement:
- Loose or rattling engine cover trim — the panels or covers may not sit flush or may vibrate.
- Trim shifting under movement or at speed — cover panels may lift slightly or shift.
- Broken, cracked or missing catch / fastener — so the original clip no longer secures properly.
- Misalignment of panels due to one side no longer being held securely.
- Wear or plastic fatigue — the catch may have broken due to age, heat, or repeated removal.
- Restores firm, secure mounting of engine bay trim and cover panels — reduces rattles, vibration, and the risk of trim components coming loose.
