Softronic is very popular amongst the Porsche Boxster and Cayman community. Their ability to do custom tuning on the 987 chassis has led them to continually out perform the competition. Like the other normally aspirated 911's, Softronic focuses on improving the overall power curve of the car. Improving driveability, throttle response, torque, and midrange power. Softronic is able to gain 20 horsepower to the crank and 17ft/lbs of torque.

Softronic flashes the 987 Cayman and Boxster cars through the OBDII port of the car. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! These cars come with 4 catalytic converters and those running an exhaust system usually eliminate the secondary ones before the muffler. The transmission can be had in a standard 6 speed manual or the new PDK transmission to compete with the GTR, M3, and others. Softronic has spent time engineering and developing software for the new DFI cars and is one of the only tuners in the world that can offer an ECU flash via the OBDII port. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, Softronic is able to gain performance on both the 3.4L 987.
