Softronic is very popular amongst the Porsche Boxster and Cayman community. Their ability to do custom tuning on the 987 chassis has led them to continually out perform the competition. Like the other normally aspirated 911's, Softronic focuses on improving the overall power curve of the car. Improving driveability, throttle response, torque, and midrange power. Softronic is able to gain 20 horsepower to the crank and 17ft/lbs of torque.
Stock Power - 295HP and 251ft/lbs

Softronic flashes the 987 Cayman and Boxster cars through the OBDII port of the car. With their Flasher Client software, they are reading a full 1mb of the file to completely tune the ECU. Other companies claim to be able to do this, but are only read 128kb and making global changes. The ECU flash will alter your fuel and timing maps to give you a very linear increase over stock. For those worried about check engine lights, there are none! These cars come with 4 catalytic converters and those running an exhaust system usually eliminate the secondary ones before the muffler. If you are running high flow cat headers or a complete straight pipe exhaust systems, Softronic raises the O2 levels which will remove the possibility of having a CEL from this type of exhaust. The 2009 and up Porsche 987.2 Cayman or Boxster is a big change over previous models. The new 987 has switched from a Bosch ECU to now running a Siemens SDI system. The transmission can be had in a standard 6 speed manual or the new PDK transmission to compete with the GTR, M3, and others. Softronic has spent time engineering and developing software for the new DFI cars and is one of the only tuners in the world that can offer an ECU flash via the OBDII port. With some additional programming to adjust the cars timing and air fuel mixtures, Softronic is able to gain performance on both the 3.4L 987.
