- Porsche 957 Cayenne 3.0L Diesel 2007-10
This OE Match exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve is intended for the Porsche 957 Cayenne 3.0L Diesel from 2007 to 2010. It controls the flow of exhaust gas returned to the engine intake as part of the emissions-management system.
Fits:
Porsche 957 Cayenne Diesel 3.0ltr - 2007 to 2010
Diagram ref no 11
What This Product Does
The EGR valve regulates the quantity of exhaust gas recirculated into the intake. This reduces peak combustion temperatures and helps control nitrogen oxide emissions while allowing the engine-management system to maintain the required airflow and combustion conditions.
Functions
- Controls exhaust-gas flow into the intake system
- Supports regulation of combustion temperature
- Assists the engine-management system with emissions control
- Closes or opens the EGR passage according to operating conditions
Technical Details
- Part number: 95511105101
- Component type: exhaust gas recirculation valve
- Operation: electrically actuated
- Application: Cayenne 9PA1 (957) 3.0L Diesel
- Model reference: 059D
- Diagram assembly: exhaust gas recirculation and vacuum system
Symptoms of Fault
- Rough or unstable idle
- Hesitation or reduced engine response
- Increased exhaust smoke or soot
- EGR flow-related fault codes or an engine warning light
- Limp-home mode
- Higher fuel consumption
- Stalling if the valve remains open
Why Replacement Matters
Carbon deposits, heat and repeated operating cycles can cause an EGR valve to stick, become restricted or develop an electrical fault. Replacement may be required when testing confirms that cleaning will not restore reliable movement or correct flow control. Related intake passages, electrical connections, seals and vacuum-system components should also be inspected during diagnosis.
FAQs
- Can a faulty EGR valve cause limp-home mode?
Yes. Incorrect EGR flow can trigger engine-management faults and restricted operation. - Can the existing valve be cleaned?
Cleaning may help when contamination is limited, but it will not correct electrical faults, excessive wear or a seized mechanism. - What else should be checked?
Inspect the intake passages, connectors, associated sensors, vacuum components and seals. Stored fault codes should be considered alongside physical testing.
