The Genuine Porsche Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor is an original equipment engine management and emissions control component designed to accurately monitor exhaust gas temperatures on compatible Porsche models. Manufactured to Porsche's exact specifications for fit, accuracy and durability, this precision sensor continuously measures the temperature of the exhaust gases and transmits real-time data to the engine control unit (ECU), allowing the engine and emissions systems to operate efficiently while protecting critical components from excessive heat.
Fits:
- Porsche 958 Cayenne V6 3.0L Diesel (245Hp) 2010-17
- Porsche 970.2 Panamera Diesel V6 3.0L (250Hp) 2014-16
- Porsche 95B.1 Macan S Diesel 3.0L V6 (258Bhp) 2014-18

Manufactured with a high-temperature-resistant sensing element, stainless steel probe and durable, heat-shielded wiring, the sensor is engineered to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures, vibration, thermal cycling and harsh operating conditions. Designed as a direct replacement for the original component, it provides factory-correct fitment and seamless integration with the vehicle's engine management, turbocharging and emissions control systems.
What This Product Does:
- Monitors exhaust gas temperature.
- Sends accurate temperature data to the engine control unit (ECU).
- Helps protect the turbocharger and exhaust components from excessive heat.
- Supports efficient engine management and fuel control.
- Assists the operation of emissions control systems.
- Optimises engine performance and fuel efficiency.
- Restores factory engine management functionality.
- Forms an essential part of the exhaust and emissions monitoring system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Illuminated engine management or check engine warning light.
- Exhaust gas temperature sensor fault codes.
- Reduced engine performance.
- Vehicle entering limp-home mode.
- Increased fuel consumption.
- Poor turbocharger performance.
- Incorrect exhaust temperature readings.
- Reduced efficiency of the emissions control system.
- Failed emissions or MOT inspection.
- Intermittent engine management faults.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The exhaust gas temperature sensor operates in one of the harshest environments on the vehicle, where it is continually exposed to extremely high exhaust temperatures, vibration and rapid thermal cycling. Over time, the sensing element can degrade or become contaminated, while the wiring and connectors may suffer from heat-related deterioration.
- A faulty sensor can provide inaccurate temperature readings to the ECU, causing incorrect engine management strategies, increased emissions and reduced engine performance. In turbocharged applications, incorrect exhaust temperature monitoring may also reduce the system's ability to protect the turbocharger and exhaust after-treatment components from excessive heat.
- Replacing a worn or faulty sensor with a Genuine Porsche component restores accurate exhaust temperature monitoring and ensures the engine management system operates as intended. Manufactured to Porsche's exact engineering standards, the Genuine Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor provides precise fitment, exceptional reliability and long-lasting performance, helping maintain engine efficiency, emissions compliance and the performance expected from your Porsche.
