Engineered to improve exhaust flow, reduce weight and provide a more distinctive turbocharged Porsche exhaust note, the system replaces the restrictive rear section of the factory exhaust while retaining the Porsche Sport Exhaust valve functionality.
When the PSE system is switched off and the exhaust valves are closed, the system provides a quieter and more refined exhaust character suitable for normal road and motorway driving.
When PSE is activated and the valves open, exhaust gases are given a less restrictive path through the system, producing a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note with greater turbo presence, sharper sound and increased volume.
The system is manufactured from CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and incorporates Fabspeed's cast X-pipe together with Helical Limited aerospace-grade exhaust valves.
Fabspeed's dyno testing recorded gains of up to +48.7 WHP and +53.7 lb-ft of torque, with approximately 55 HP claimed at the crank, although actual results vary according to vehicle specification, fuel, atmospheric conditions and associated modifications.
The system also saves approximately 9.8 lb / 4.4 kg compared with the factory exhaust.
What This Product Does:
The cat-back exhaust carries exhaust gases from the catalytic converter outlets through the rear exhaust system and out of the vehicle.
The Fabspeed Valved Maxflo system is designed to:
- Reduce restriction in the factory rear exhaust system.
- Improve exhaust gas flow.
- Reduce exhaust backpressure.
- Improve turbocharger exhaust flow.
- Support stronger throttle response.
- Support increased horsepower and torque.
- Provide a more aggressive exhaust note when required.
- Retain a quieter exhaust mode for everyday driving.
- Maintain integration with the Porsche PSE system.
- Reduce exhaust-system weight.
- Replace the factory muffler and associated rear exhaust pipework.
- Work with either factory catalysts or compatible Fabspeed sport catalysts.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Possible signs of deterioration in the original or aftermarket cat-back exhaust include:
- Exhaust becoming noticeably louder without the valves being commanded open.
- Ticking or blowing noises from exhaust joints.
- Exhaust gases escaping around clamps or flanges.
- Soot marks around exhaust connections.
- Metallic rattling from the rear of the vehicle.
- Exhaust vibration.
- Loose exhaust components.
- Cracked welds.
- Damaged exhaust tubing.

- Burning smell caused by exhaust gases or hot components contacting surrounding materials.
- Valve-related noises.
- Exhaust valves failing to open or close.
- Different exhaust sound between the two sides of the vehicle.
- PSE operation no longer changing the exhaust sound correctly.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
A damaged or excessively restrictive exhaust system can affect both performance and driving enjoyment.
Replacing a worn factory system or upgrading to the Fabspeed Valved Maxflo system can help restore or improve:
- Exhaust flow.
- Turbocharged engine response.
- Exhaust sound.
- PSE valve functionality.
- Exhaust-system sealing.
- Rear exhaust weight.
- Corrosion resistance.
- Overall exhaust durability.
For performance vehicles, maintaining a structurally sound and properly sealed exhaust is particularly important because exhaust gas temperatures and flow rates can be substantial.

The Fabspeed Cat-Back Valved Maxflo Exhaust System is a premium performance exhaust upgrade developed for the 2025+ Porsche 992.2 Carrera with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine.
Fits:
- Porsche 992.2 Carrera 2 3.0L 2024>>
- Porsche 992.2 Carrera 2S 3.0L 2024>>
Designed as a replacement for the factory cat-back exhaust section, the system provides a more aggressive Porsche exhaust note while retaining the vehicle's factory-style valved exhaust functionality.
Fabspeed manufactures the system from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and uses premium Helical Limited exhaust valves manufactured in the UK.
Fabspeed specifies the system for 992.2 Carrera 3.0L models and specifically states that it does not fit the 3.6L hybrid system used by models such as the 992.2 GTS.
What This Product Does:
The cat-back exhaust controls exhaust flow, sound attenuation and outlet routing downstream of the catalytic converters.
The Fabspeed Valved Maxflo system is designed to:
- Increase exhaust sound and character
- Provide a deeper twin-turbo flat-six exhaust note
- Retain Porsche Sport Exhaust valve operation
- Allow quieter and louder exhaust modes
- Reduce restriction through the rear exhaust section
- Increase turbocharger and exhaust sound
- Maintain factory-style fitment
- Work with the original Porsche catalytic converters
- Work with compatible Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters
- Retain the appropriate OEM-style exhaust tip arrangement
For a mechanically healthy vehicle, this system is primarily a sound, performance-character and exhaust-flow upgrade, rather than a wear-related maintenance replacement.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Factory exhaust components are exposed to considerable heat, condensation, vibration and repeated thermal cycling.
Possible symptoms of deterioration include:
- Exhaust rattling
- Metallic buzzing
- Valve rattling
- Exhaust valves sticking
- Exhaust valves failing to open or close correctly
- Blowing or hissing noises
- Black soot around leaking joints
- Cracked welds
- Loose clamps
- Damaged exhaust hangers
- Corrosion
- Internal muffler rattling
- Exhaust tips sitting out of alignment
- Increased vibration
- Unwanted exhaust drone
- Exhaust gases escaping from damaged joints
A rattle should be diagnosed carefully because heat shields, mounting brackets or internal muffler components can produce similar symptoms.
Why Replacement Matters:
A damaged exhaust system can affect more than sound.
Leaks, broken mounts or failed valves can lead to:
- Excessive exhaust noise
- Unwanted rattling
- Poor exhaust alignment
- Increased stress on adjoining components
- Hot exhaust gases escaping near surrounding parts
- Loss of proper valve operation
- Damage to bumper or diffuser areas if the exhaust moves excessively
- Replacing a damaged system restores secure exhaust routing and correct operation.
Where the factory exhaust remains healthy, installing the Fabspeed system is primarily an upgrade for sound, exhaust character and freer-flowing construction.
