Developed specifically for the 4.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, this package combines Fabspeed's Maxflo Performance Exhaust System, Resonator Bypass X-Pipe, HJS Sport Catalytic Converters, BMC F1 Performance Air Filter and a XperTune ECU software upgrade.
By reducing restrictions within the original exhaust system and improving intake airflow, the package is designed to help the engine breathe more efficiently, supporting stronger acceleration, improved turbocharger response and a more engaging driving experience.
The exhaust components are manufactured from high-quality 14–16 gauge T304 stainless steel, featuring mandrel-bent tubing designed to improve exhaust flow while offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance.
The package incorporates high-flow 200-cell HJS Sport Catalytic Converters, providing a less restrictive alternative to the original catalytic converters while retaining catalytic exhaust treatment.
Fabspeed's Maxflo Performance Mufflers and Resonator Bypass X-Pipe enhance the characteristic sound of the Porsche twin-turbocharged V8, delivering a deeper, more aggressive sports exhaust note.
Ideal for Porsche Panamera enthusiasts seeking enhanced performance, improved exhaust efficiency and premium stainless steel construction, this integrated package provides a comprehensive upgrade for the factory exhaust and intake systems.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Porsche Panamera Turbo / Turbo S Performance Package is designed to reduce exhaust restrictions, support efficient intake airflow and, when selected, optimise engine management calibration.
Its key functions include:
- Increased Horsepower: Improved exhaust flow and suitable ECU tuning can help deliver additional engine power.
- Improved Torque Delivery: Reduced exhaust restrictions and optimised engine calibration can support stronger acceleration and mid-range performance.
- Enhanced Turbocharger Response: Lower exhaust backpressure can help the turbochargers discharge exhaust gases more efficiently.
- Improved Exhaust Gas Flow: The stainless steel Maxflo mufflers, resonator bypass and high-flow catalytic converters provide a performance-oriented exhaust path.
- Sportier Exhaust Sound: Produces a deeper, more pronounced exhaust note that complements the twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
- Reduced Exhaust Backpressure: High-flow components reduce restrictions compared with the original exhaust arrangement.
- Enhanced Throttle Response: The ECU tuning upgrade can improve engine responsiveness through appropriately matched calibration.
- High-Performance Air Filtration: The BMC F1 Replacement Air Filter supports efficient intake airflow while helping filter airborne contaminants.
- Improved Exhaust Durability: T304 stainless steel construction provides resistance to corrosion and environmental deterioration.
- Exhaust Appearance Customisation: Deluxe Quad Style Tips are available in a choice of premium finishes.
- Engine Management Optimisation: The XperTune software can adjust suitable ECU parameters to improve power delivery.
- Integrated Performance Upgrade: Combines several complementary components in one package, reducing the need to source each upgrade separately.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
The Fabspeed Performance Package is primarily a performance upgrade rather than a direct repair for one faulty component.
However, deterioration of the original exhaust and intake systems may indicate that maintenance, replacement or upgrading is beneficial.
Common signs include:
- Reduced Engine Performance: Restricted exhaust flow, intake problems or other engine faults may reduce horsepower and acceleration.
- Sluggish Throttle Response: Intake, boost control or engine management problems may cause delayed acceleration.
- Corroded Exhaust Components: Original exhaust pipes, silencers and mounting points may develop corrosion after years of exposure to moisture and road salt.
- Exhaust Leaks: Cracked pipes, damaged welds or deteriorated gaskets may allow exhaust gases to escape.
- Excessive Exhaust Rattling: Loose internal muffler components, damaged exhaust brackets or deteriorated mountings can produce metallic noises.
- Restricted Catalytic Converters: Damaged or blocked catalytic converters can increase exhaust backpressure and reduce engine performance.
- Loss of Power Under Acceleration: Exhaust restrictions, boost leaks or ignition and fuelling issues may affect performance under load.
- Damaged Muffler Components: Internal deterioration or structural damage may change exhaust sound and compromise the exhaust assembly.
- Clogged Air Filter: Excessive dirt accumulation can restrict intake airflow and reduce engine responsiveness.
- Exhaust System Vibration: Loose mountings or damaged pipework may cause unwanted movement and vibration.
- Unusual Exhaust Sound: Changes in exhaust volume, tone or resonance may indicate leaks or damaged components.
- Engine Management Warning Light: Faults involving exhaust sensors, catalytic converter efficiency or engine operation may trigger diagnostic warnings.
- Inconsistent Turbocharger Response: Boost leaks, wastegate problems or exhaust restrictions may contribute to irregular turbocharger behaviour.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
- Upgrading the factory intake and exhaust system with the Fabspeed Porsche 970 Panamera Turbo / Turbo S Performance Package provides an opportunity to improve engine performance, exhaust efficiency and the overall driving experience.
- The Porsche Panamera's 4.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 relies on efficient airflow and carefully controlled engine management to deliver strong acceleration and consistent power.
- The original exhaust system is designed to balance performance, refinement, emissions compliance and everyday comfort. For drivers seeking a sportier character, performance-oriented exhaust components can reduce restriction and produce a more distinctive exhaust note.
- The Fabspeed Maxflo Performance Mufflers and Resonator Bypass X-Pipe help improve exhaust gas flow while enhancing the sound of the twin-turbocharged engine.
- The high-flow HJS Sport Catalytic Converters provide a less restrictive exhaust passage, helping reduce backpressure while retaining catalytic exhaust treatment.
- Reduced restriction downstream of the turbochargers can support more efficient exhaust gas discharge, which may contribute to improved turbocharger response and engine performance.
- The BMC F1 Performance Air Filter complements the exhaust components by supporting efficient airflow into the engine.
- When selected, the Fabspeed XperTune ECU upgrade can further optimise power delivery by adjusting the engine management calibration for the intended configuration.
- The package also provides an opportunity to replace ageing factory exhaust components that may be affected by corrosion, damaged welds or deterioration.
- Its T304 stainless steel construction offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability, making it a suitable choice for enthusiasts seeking long-term performance exhaust hardware.
- Beyond engine performance, the package transforms the sound and appearance of the vehicle. The Maxflo exhaust and Quad Style Tips provide a sportier character while retaining a vehicle-specific installation arrangement.
- For Porsche Panamera owners undertaking performance modifications or exhaust refurbishment, upgrading several related components together can provide a coordinated approach to improving exhaust flow and engine responsiveness.
- The Fabspeed Porsche 970 Panamera Turbo / Turbo S Performance Package combines premium materials, performance-oriented engineering and customisation options to provide a comprehensive exhaust and intake upgrade for the Porsche Panamera.
