The Fabspeed Porsche 970 Panamera S Performance Package is a comprehensive exhaust, air intake developed specifically for Porsche Panamera S 4.8L V8 models manufactured between 2010 and 2013.
Fits:
- Porsche 970.1 Panamera S V8 4.8L 2010-13
Kit Includes:
- Maxflo Performance Exhaust System (Including Deluxe Quad Style Tips)~
- Resonator Bypass X-Pipe
- Competition Air Intake
Designed by Fabspeed Motorsport, this package combines premium performance components to improve exhaust flow, enhance engine breathing, sharpen throttle response and deliver a deeper, more distinctive sports exhaust note.
The package includes a Maxflo Performance Exhaust System with Deluxe Quad Style Tips, a Resonator Bypass X-Pipe, a Competition Air Intake.
Together, these components are designed to reduce restrictions within the factory intake and exhaust arrangements, allowing the naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 engine to deliver a more engaging driving experience.
The exhaust system is manufactured using high-quality 14–16 gauge T304 stainless steel, with mandrel-bent tubing designed to promote smooth exhaust gas flow and reduce unnecessary backpressure.
Fabspeed's high-flow X-pipe configuration replaces the factory resonator section, helping improve exhaust flow while producing a more pronounced V8 exhaust character.
The Maxflo mufflers are designed to deliver a sportier exhaust note, while the Competition Air Intake supports improved airflow into the engine.
Unlike replacing an individual worn component, this package provides a coordinated performance solution for improving several aspects of the Porsche Panamera S driving experience.
Ideal for performance enthusiasts, exhaust system refurbishment and owners seeking a more responsive and distinctive V8 sports saloon, the Fabspeed Performance Package combines durable construction with performance-focused engineering.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Performance Package upgrades the intake and exhaust systems of the Porsche 970 Panamera S to improve the engine's breathing characteristics, exhaust sound and driving response.
Its key functions and benefits include:
- Improved Exhaust Flow: The Maxflo mufflers and Resonator Bypass X-Pipe are engineered to reduce restrictions in the exhaust system.
- Reduced Backpressure: High-flow pipework helps minimise unnecessary resistance to outgoing exhaust gases.
- Enhanced V8 Exhaust Sound: Produces a deeper, sportier exhaust note than the standard system.
- Improved Intake Airflow: The Competition Air Intake is designed to support a less restrictive supply of air to the engine.
- Increased Performance Potential: Supports improved horsepower and torque output, depending on the selected configuration and vehicle condition.
- Durable Stainless Steel Construction: T304 stainless steel offers good resistance to corrosion and heat-related deterioration.
- High-Flow X-Pipe Design: Helps manage exhaust gas flow through the centre section while modifying the exhaust sound.
- Coordinated Performance Modifications: Combines complementary intake, exhaust and tuning components in one package.
- Enhanced Driving Experience: Designed to make the naturally aspirated V8 engine feel and sound more engaging.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
The Fabspeed Performance Package is primarily a performance upgrade rather than a standard replacement or fault-repair kit.
However, owners may consider replacing the original exhaust or intake components when they show signs of deterioration, damage or reduced effectiveness.
- Corrosion on Exhaust Components: Rust or deteriorated metalwork may affect the condition of the original mufflers or exhaust pipework.
- Exhaust Leaks: Cracked pipes, failed joints or damaged seals may allow exhaust gases to escape.
- Unusual Exhaust Noises: Rattling, blowing or metallic noises can indicate damaged exhaust components.
- Deteriorated Muffler Internals: Worn or damaged internal sections may cause unwanted rattling or changes in exhaust sound.
- Loose Exhaust Mountings: Damaged mounting components may allow excessive movement or vibration.
- Visible Exhaust Damage: Impact marks, cracks or distorted pipework may indicate that replacement is necessary.
- Exhaust Fumes: Leaks may allow gases to escape from unintended locations, requiring prompt investigation.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
- Upgrading the intake and exhaust systems of the Porsche Panamera S can enhance the vehicle's performance character, driving responsiveness and exhaust sound.
- The original Porsche Panamera S 4.8L V8 engine combines naturally aspirated performance with the refinement expected from a premium sports saloon.
- The factory intake and exhaust systems are engineered to balance performance, noise control, emissions compliance and everyday comfort.
- For owners seeking a more pronounced sports car character, the Fabspeed Performance Package offers an integrated solution.
