- Porsche 997 MK1 Carrera 2S 3.8L 2005-08
- Porsche 997 MK1 Carrera 4S 3.8L 2005-08
Fabspeed RACE Exhaust Performance Package WITH ECU Upgrade, Polished Stainless Steel Tips.
The Fabspeed Porsche 997 Carrera Performance Package is a comprehensive intake, exhaust and ECU upgrade developed for Porsche 997 Carrera models from 2005–2008.
Fits:
- Porsche 997 MK1 Carrera 2S 3.8L 2005-08
- Porsche 997 MK1 Carrera 4S 3.8L 2005-08
Rather than upgrading one component in isolation, the package improves the complete airflow path through the naturally aspirated flat-six engine. It replaces restrictive factory intake and exhaust components with freer-flowing Fabspeed hardware.
Package Includes:
- Fabspeed Sport Headers
- Cat Bypass X-Pipe
- Maxflo Performance Mufflers
- Deluxe Quad-Style Exhaust Tips
- Carbon Fiber Competition Air Intake System
- Fabspeed ECU Tune with MyGenius handheld device
What This Product Does:
The Performance Package is designed to improve how efficiently air enters the engine and how quickly exhaust gases leave it.
The upgraded intake reduces restriction before the engine, while the headers, X-pipe and mufflers provide a freer-flowing exhaust path.
The ECU calibration then adjusts engine-management parameters to take advantage of the increased airflow.
The package is designed to:
- Increase horsepower
- Increase torque
- Improve throttle response
- Improve engine breathing
- Increase cold-air intake flow
- Reduce exhaust restriction
- Improve performance throughout the RPM range
- Produce a deeper and more aggressive exhaust note
- Increase induction sound
- Reduce overall component weight
For a mechanically healthy standard car, this package is primarily a performance, sound and response upgrade, rather than a maintenance replacement.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
The original exhaust components on a 2005–2008 Porsche 997 may deteriorate through age, heat cycling, corrosion and mileage.
Possible symptoms include:
- Exhaust blowing or ticking
- Hissing from leaking joints
- Black soot around exhaust connections
- Cracked welds
- Corroded pipes
- Loose heat shields
- Internal muffler rattling
- Catalyst rattling
- Reduced high-RPM performance
- Excessive exhaust heat
- Damaged exhaust brackets
- Poor exhaust-tip alignment
- Check Engine Light from catalyst-efficiency faults
A rattling or restricted catalyst may significantly affect engine performance even if the outer catalyst housing appears intact.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
If the original intake or exhaust components are worn or damaged, replacement can help restore:
- Correct exhaust sealing
- Reliable intake airflow
- Proper engine breathing
- Correct exhaust routing
- Secure mounting
- Consistent throttle response
A leaking exhaust or damaged catalyst can reduce performance and create excessive heat around surrounding components.
A cracked intake component can allow unmetered air into the engine, potentially causing poor running or fault codes.
However, where the factory components remain serviceable, the Fabspeed Performance Package is primarily an upgrade intended to increase airflow, performance, sound and driver response.

- Porsche 970.2 Panamera 4 V6 3.6L 4WD (310Hp) 2014-16
Rather than upgrading a single component, this package combines several complementary performance modifications designed to work together to improve engine breathing, reduce exhaust restriction, sharpen response and give the Panamera a more sporting exhaust character.
The package combines a Maxflo Performance Exhaust System with Deluxe Quad Style Tips, Resonator Bypass Pipes, Competition Air Intake and ECU Handheld Tuner, providing a complete performance solution for non-turbo Porsche 970 Panamera V6 models.
What This Product Does:
An internal-combustion engine effectively operates as an air pump.
Air must enter the engine efficiently, mix with fuel, burn, and then leave through the exhaust system with minimal unnecessary restriction.
The Fabspeed Performance Package addresses several areas of this process.
The Competition Air Intake improves the route through which the engine receives air.
The Maxflo exhaust and Resonator Bypass Pipes reduce restriction on the exhaust side.
The ECU tuning system allows the engine-management calibration to be optimised for improved performance and response.
Together, these components are designed to provide:
- Improved intake airflow
- Improved exhaust flow
- Reduced exhaust backpressure
- Sharper throttle response
- Improved engine breathing
- Increased performance potential
- Stronger sports-car exhaust character
- More engaging driving characteristics
- Enhanced rear appearance from the Deluxe Quad Tips
Why Upgrading Matters:
The original Porsche components do not need to be worn or faulty before installing this package.
This is primarily a comprehensive performance upgrade.
Reasons for upgrading include:
- Complete intake, exhaust and ECU solution
- Improved intake airflow
- Reduced exhaust restriction
- Reduced exhaust backpressure
- Improved throttle response potential
- Increased performance potential
- More sporting exhaust sound
- Competition Air Intake
- Reusable dry-style dual-conical filters
- Maxflo performance mufflers
- Resonator Bypass Pipes
- Deluxe Quad Style Tips
- T304 stainless-steel exhaust construction
- Mandrel-bent exhaust tubing
- ECU performance tuning
- Integrated package rather than isolated modifications
NOTE: In the United Kingdom, sports catalytic converters and bypass pipes do not have type approval and are not legally permitted for use on vehicles manufactured after 1st March 2001. They are not MOT compliant and cannot be used on public roads. These components are intended solely for race and track use.
For vehicles manufactured before 1st March 2001, a non-type approved sports catalytic converter may be fitted, provided it offers comparable performance to the original and the vehicle continues to meet the applicable emissions standards for its age. The vehicle must still pass an MOT test.
If you are located outside the UK, please check your local laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
