Rather than replacing a single exhaust component, the package combines headers, centre exhaust, side mufflers, intake filters and optional / required tuning depending on configuration to improve exhaust flow, throttle response, sound and overall engine performance.
Package Includes:
- Fabspeed Race Headers with catalytic-converter bypass
- Valvetronic Center Muffler Bypass X-Pipe
- Maxflo Performance Side Mufflers
- BMC F1 Replacement Air Filters
- XperTune Performance Software required by Fabspeed for this configuration
The system is designed to provide a deeper, more aggressive flat-six exhaust note while improving airflow through both the intake and exhaust systems.
What This Product Does:
The factory Porsche exhaust and intake systems are designed to balance performance, noise control, emissions and everyday refinement.
The Fabspeed package reduces restriction in several areas simultaneously.
Its main functions and benefits include:
- Improving exhaust gas flow
- Reducing restriction in the factory side and centre mufflers
- Improving flow through the exhaust headers
- Increasing intake airflow with BMC filters
- Improving throttle response
- Increasing horsepower and torque
- Producing a stronger sports-car exhaust note
- Reducing exhaust-system weight
- Allowing quieter and louder exhaust characteristics depending on valve position
- Providing a complete matched performance package rather than isolated modifications
Performance Benefits:
Fabspeed's current published dyno data shows gains throughout the RPM range.
Its test results show approximately:
+17.17 whp / +27.33 ft-lb at 3300 RPM
+23.28 whp / +29.11 ft-lb at 4200 RPM
+25.46 whp / +22.67 ft-lb at 5900 RPM
Peak gain: +15.95 whp / +26.48 ft-lb
Fabspeed also states that the package saves approximately 15 lb compared with the factory components.
Actual performance will vary according to engine specification, vehicle condition, fuel, tune and environmental conditions.
