Kit Includes:
- Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust
- Sport Headers
- BCM F1 Replacement Air Filter
- XperTune Performance Software
Developed for the 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, this package combines Fabspeed's Supersport X-Pipe exhaust, performance sport headers, upgraded air filtration and available XperTune ECU software into an integrated performance solution.
The Porsche 991.2 Turbo and Turbo S deliver exceptional performance in standard form. However, their factory exhaust systems are engineered to balance sound, emissions, refinement and everyday usability.
Fabspeed's Supersport Performance Package is designed for drivers seeking a more distinctive exhaust note and a performance-focused configuration while retaining the ability to select components suited to their intended application.
At the centre of the package is the Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe Exhaust System, engineered to provide a deeper, more aggressive exhaust character than the original factory system.
The package also includes Fabspeed Sport Headers, designed to optimise the flow of exhaust gases from the engine towards the turbochargers.
Improved exhaust flow may help reduce exhaust restriction, support turbocharger response and contribute to stronger acceleration when combined with the appropriate engine calibration.
A BMC F1 replacement air filter supports the intake side of the engine by providing an alternative performance filtration element within the corresponding factory intake arrangement.
The package is available with Fabspeed's XperTune performance software, which calibrates the engine management system to complement the installed hardware.
The system is manufactured using high-quality 14–16 gauge T304L stainless steel with CNC mandrel-bent tubing for consistent internal pipe dimensions and durable construction.
Fabspeed publishes headline gains of up to 135 hp and 160 lb-ft of torque, together with an approximate 15 lb weight reduction, based on its specified testing and package configuration.
These are manufacturer-reported figures and should not be interpreted as guaranteed improvements for every vehicle.
Whether developing a more responsive road-oriented Porsche or preparing a track-focused 991.2 Turbo, the Supersport Performance Package provides an integrated upgrade for owners seeking a stronger exhaust character and increased performance potential.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Supersport Performance Package upgrades several aspects of the engine's intake, exhaust and performance calibration.
Its primary functions include:
- Improves Exhaust Flow: The performance X-pipe and headers are designed to reduce unnecessary restrictions in the exhaust system.
- Enhances Exhaust Sound: Produces a deeper, more aggressive sports car exhaust note.
- Supports Turbocharger Response: Optimised exhaust flow may help the turbochargers respond more quickly under suitable operating conditions.
- Improves Performance Potential: Combines exhaust hardware and engine management calibration to support increased power and torque.
- Enhances Throttle Response: The appropriate package configuration and ECU calibration can contribute to more immediate engine response.
- Provides High-Flow Catalytic Converter Options: The STREET configuration uses 200-cell HJS sports catalytic converters.
- Provides a Race Exhaust Configuration: The RACE version uses catalytic converter bypass pipes for suitable off-road or track applications.
- Upgrades Exhaust Headers: Fabspeed Sport Headers provide a performance-oriented exhaust manifold arrangement.
- Supports Engine Air Filtration: The BMC F1 replacement filter provides a performance-focused intake filtration component.
- Offers Engine Management Optimisation: The available XperTune software adjusts the engine calibration to complement the hardware upgrades.
- Reduces Exhaust System Weight: Fabspeed advertises an approximate 15 lb reduction in its package specifications.
- Enhances Rear Styling: Deluxe quad-style or GT2-style exhaust tips provide different appearance options.
- Maintains Application-Specific Fitment: The hardware is designed for the Porsche 991.2 Turbo / Turbo S platform.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
The Fabspeed Supersport Performance Package is primarily a performance upgrade rather than a routine service replacement.
However, certain faults in an ageing factory exhaust, intake or associated hardware may also be addressed during a properly diagnosed repair.
Common symptoms include:
- Hissing, ticking or blowing noises.
- Unexpected increases in exhaust noise.
- Soot deposits around exhaust connections.
- Exhaust fumes around the engine or rear of the vehicle.
- Unusual sounds under acceleration.
- Visible corrosion or damaged metalwork.
- Cracked or weakened welds.
- Damaged exhaust brackets.
- Bent or distorted pipework.
- Loose exhaust connections.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
The Fabspeed Supersport Performance Package is designed to enhance the Porsche 991.2 Turbo's performance characteristics through a coordinated intake, exhaust and engine management upgrade.
Its most significant benefits relate to exhaust sound, improved flow characteristics and the potential for increased engine performance.
- Enhanced Power Potential: Fabspeed reports gains of up to 135 hp with the appropriate package and calibration.
- Increased Torque Potential: The manufacturer reports gains of up to 160 lb-ft under its specified test conditions.
- Improved Turbocharger Response: Performance exhaust hardware is intended to reduce restriction and support quicker turbo response.
