The Fabspeed Rear Slip-On Sport Exhaust System for Porsche Macan 2.0L (2014–2018) is a premium performance exhaust upgrade designed to enhance engine sound, improve exhaust gas flow and reduce overall vehicle weight.
Fits:
- Porsche 95B.1 Macan Petrol 2.0L (237Bhp) 2014-18
Engineered by Fabspeed Motorsport, this high-performance exhaust system replaces the restrictive factory rear mufflers with a free-flowing design, delivering a more aggressive sports exhaust note and an engaging driving experience.
Manufactured from high-quality T304L stainless steel, the system offers excellent corrosion resistance, durability and long-lasting performance. Its precision-engineered construction is designed to optimise exhaust flow while maintaining the practicality expected from a premium Porsche SUV.
The Fabspeed Rear Slip-On Sport Exhaust reduces weight by approximately 17 lbs (7.7 kg) compared with the standard factory exhaust system, helping eliminate unnecessary weight from the rear of the vehicle.
Fabspeed also advertises a performance improvement of up to 18 HP, although actual results depend on vehicle specification, engine condition and testing conditions.
Available with premium exhaust tip options, including Fabspeed's dual-wall carbon fibre tips, the system enhances the rear appearance of the Macan while creating a distinctive sports car-inspired exhaust sound.
Designed specifically for the Porsche Macan 2.0L petrol engine, this Fabspeed system provides an ideal upgrade for drivers seeking improved sound, premium construction and enhanced driving enjoyment.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Rear Slip-On Sport Exhaust replaces the original rear muffler section of the Porsche Macan's exhaust system with a performance-focused, high-flow alternative.
Its primary function is to channel exhaust gases efficiently away from the engine while reducing the restrictions associated with the factory rear muffler arrangement.
By incorporating optimised stainless steel pipework and a performance muffler design, the system allows exhaust gases to flow more freely, contributing to a more pronounced exhaust note and potentially improved engine performance.
Its main functions include:
- Improving exhaust gas flow: Reduces restriction within the rear exhaust system to support more efficient exhaust gas discharge.
- Enhancing exhaust sound: Produces a deeper, sportier and more distinctive exhaust note than the standard factory system.
- Supporting engine performance: Improved exhaust flow can contribute to increased horsepower and improved engine responsiveness.
- Reducing vehicle weight: Saves approximately 17 lbs (7.7 kg) compared with the original rear exhaust assembly.
- Maintaining exhaust functionality: Directs exhaust gases safely away from the vehicle through the rear tailpipes.
- Improving corrosion resistance: T304L stainless steel construction provides durability against heat, moisture and road contaminants.
- Enhancing vehicle appearance: Premium exhaust tips provide a more distinctive, performance-inspired rear finish.
- Maintaining everyday usability: Offers a sports exhaust character suitable for drivers seeking a more engaging exhaust sound.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
The original Porsche Macan exhaust system is exposed to high temperatures, engine vibration, moisture and road salt throughout its service life.
Over time, the rear mufflers, connecting pipes, mounting brackets and exhaust joints may deteriorate, leading to noise, corrosion or exhaust leakage.
Common signs that the original exhaust system may require replacement include:
- Excessive exhaust noise: Damaged muffler internals, corrosion or exhaust leaks may cause unusually loud or inconsistent exhaust sounds.
- Metallic rattling: Loose internal muffler components, weakened brackets or deteriorated mounting hardware may produce rattling noises.
- Visible corrosion or rust: Prolonged exposure to moisture and road salt can cause deterioration of exhaust pipes, welds and muffler housings.
- Exhaust gas leaks: Cracked pipework or damaged joints may allow exhaust gases to escape before reaching the tailpipes.
- Blowing or hissing sounds: Exhaust leaks can create noticeable blowing, ticking or hissing noises, particularly during acceleration.
- Reduced engine performance: A severely restricted or internally damaged exhaust system may affect exhaust gas flow and engine responsiveness.
- Excessive vibration: Worn exhaust mounts or loose connections may allow unwanted movement beneath the vehicle.
- Visible damage to the exhaust: Cracked welds, dented pipework or damaged muffler casings can compromise the system's integrity.
- Unwanted exhaust resonance: Deteriorated internal muffler components may produce unpleasant vibrations or excessive cabin noise.
- Exhaust fumes or unusual odours: Leaking exhaust connections may allow exhaust gases to escape beneath the vehicle.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
Replacing the factory exhaust system with the Fabspeed Rear Slip-On Sport Exhaust is an effective way to improve the Porsche Macan's exhaust sound, reduce vehicle weight and enhance the overall driving experience.
While a conventional exhaust replacement restores original functionality, the Fabspeed system offers performance-focused construction and a more distinctive exhaust character.
Its high-flow design is engineered to reduce exhaust restrictions while delivering a sporty sound that better complements the Macan's turbocharged 2.0L petrol engine.
Upgrading to the Fabspeed system offers several advantages:
- Enhanced sports exhaust sound: Produces a more pronounced, aggressive exhaust note for a more engaging driving experience.
- Improved exhaust flow: High-flow pipework and muffler construction help reduce restriction compared with the original exhaust.
- Potential horsepower gains: Fabspeed advertises an increase of up to 18 HP, depending on vehicle specification and operating conditions.
- Lightweight construction: Reduces rear exhaust system weight by approximately 17 lbs (7.7 kg).
- Premium stainless steel durability: T304L stainless steel provides resistance to corrosion, heat and environmental exposure.
- Improved rear appearance: Premium exhaust tip options give the vehicle a more distinctive performance-oriented finish.
- Replacement for ageing factory components: Provides an opportunity to replace corroded, damaged or deteriorated rear mufflers.
- Enhanced driving enjoyment: Creates a sportier exhaust character during acceleration and everyday driving.
- Vehicle-specific engineering: Designed for the Porsche Macan 2.0L to provide appropriate fitment and exhaust alignment.
- Long-term durability: High-quality materials and construction support reliable operation in demanding conditions.
- Manufacturer warranty support: Covered by Fabspeed's Lifetime Warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions.
