Installed on the front shock absorber shaft beneath the protective dust boot, the bump stop acts as a secondary suspension damper. During aggressive cornering, braking, uneven road conditions, or pothole impacts, the bump stop absorbs excess compression energy before the suspension reaches its mechanical limit.
