Manufactured from high-quality automotive-grade plastic, the spreader rivet is resistant to moisture, corrosion, road salt, oils and temperature fluctuations. The expanding centre pin locks the rivet firmly into place, ensuring reliable retention while helping to minimise vibration and movement of attached components. Precision-moulded to the original Porsche dimensions, it provides direct OE-style fitment for numerous applications throughout the vehicle.
What This Product Does:
- Secures body panels, trims and protective covers.
- Expands when installed to provide a secure fixing.
- Helps prevent movement and vibration of attached components.
- Supports correct alignment of trim and body panels.
- Allows quick installation and straightforward replacement.
- Resists corrosion unlike conventional metal fasteners.
- Replaces damaged, worn or missing plastic rivets.
- Suitable for a variety of Porsche body and trim applications.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Loose trim or body panels.
- Rattling noises while driving.
- Wheel arch liners or undertrays becoming insecure.
- Missing or broken retaining clips.
- Panels sitting unevenly or out of alignment.
- Damaged or brittle plastic fasteners.
- Components vibrating excessively.
- Trim becoming detached during driving.
- Visible deterioration caused by age or UV exposure.
- Difficulty securing replacement panels correctly.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Plastic spreader rivets are exposed to continual vibration, moisture, dirt, road salt and changing temperatures. Over time, the plastic material can become brittle, crack or lose its retaining strength, particularly after repeated removal during servicing or repairs.
- A damaged or missing rivet can allow trim panels, undertrays or liners to move excessively, creating rattles, poor panel alignment and, in some cases, complete detachment while driving. Missing fasteners can also place additional stress on surrounding clips and mounting points, increasing the likelihood of further damage.
- Replacing worn or damaged fasteners with the OE Match Plastic Spreader Rivet restores the secure attachment of body and trim components while maintaining the original appearance and fitment of your Porsche. Manufactured to OE standards from durable automotive-grade materials, it provides reliable retention, straightforward installation and long-lasting performance across a wide variety of applications.
