Accurate fuel level indication is essential for reliable driving and trip planning. The fuel tank gauge (level sender) uses a float mechanism and electrical resistance sensor to monitor the amount of fuel in the tank and communicate that information to the instrument cluster.
Over time, original fuel level senders can suffer from:
• Electrical wear or internal resistance faults
• Sticking float mechanisms
• Corrosion from fuel exposure
• Inconsistent or inaccurate readings
Common symptoms include fluctuating fuel gauge readings, incorrect fuel level display, or warning lights despite adequate fuel in the tank.
This OE Match fuel tank gauge is manufactured to match original Porsche specifications for fitment, electrical calibration, and tank integration. It installs directly into the factory fuel pump module assembly and restores proper gauge accuracy without modification.
Ideal for replacement during fuel pump service or when diagnosing fuel level display issues.
A faulty fuel tank gauge can cause inaccurate fuel readings, leaving you unsure of remaining range. Inconsistent or incorrect readings increase the risk of running out of fuel unexpectedly. Replacing the sender restores proper gauge function and ensures reliable fuel level monitoring.
Replace the fuel tank gauge if you notice:
• Fluctuating or erratic fuel gauge readings
• Gauge stuck on full or empty
• Incorrect low fuel warning activation
• Fuel pump service requiring sender replacement
• Diagnostic fault codes related to fuel level sensor
