* For H4 Headlamps (non levelling type)
What This Product Does
The reflector directs light from the H4 bulb through the headlamp lens to produce the required road illumination. Its optical layout is configured for right-hand-drive cars used in left-side traffic and is designed for headlamps without a levelling mechanism.
Functions
- Reflects and directs light from the H4 bulb
- Supports the correct RHD dipped-beam pattern
- Fits the left- or right-hand headlamp position
- Allows an existing headlamp assembly to be refurbished
- Works with non-levelling H4 headlamp systems
Technical Details
- Related reference: 90163110300
- Associated headlamp reference: 91163111300
- Lighting type: H4
- Vehicle specification: right-hand drive (RHD) only
- Installation position: left or right side
Symptoms of Fault
- Weak illumination despite fitting a serviceable bulb
- Dull, discoloured or damaged reflective surface
- Poorly defined or uneven beam projection
- Reduced lighting distance at night
- Visible corrosion caused by moisture entering the lamp
- Light output differing noticeably between the two headlamps
Why Replacement Matters
An aged or deteriorated reflector cannot direct the bulb output effectively, even when the lens and bulb remain serviceable. Replacing the affected component can restore more consistent beam projection while retaining the existing H4 headlamp housing. The headlamp aim should be checked after installation, and worn seals, clips and adjusters should also be inspected.
FAQs
- Can this reflector be installed on either side?
Yes. The supplied application information specifies installation in the left- or right-hand headlamp. - Is it suitable for a left-hand-drive car?
No. This reflector is specifically configured for right-hand-drive vehicles. - Will it fit a headlamp with a levelling system?
No. It is intended for the non-levelling H4 headlamp type. - What else should be checked during installation?
Inspect the lens, seals, retaining clips, bulb holder and adjusters for deterioration or corrosion, then have the beam alignment verified.
