Restore the appearance and visibility of your classic Porsche’s front lighting with this OE Match Front Indicator Lens with Black Rim, designed for USA-spec cars. Produced as a replacement for references 91163194700/1 and 91163194800/1, it combines an original-style indicator lens with a contrasting black surround for a clean, period-correct finish.
Fits:
- Porsche 911 1968-1973 2.2L / 2.4L / 2.7L RS LWB (F) (For USA Cars)
This replacement is ideal where the existing lens has become cracked, faded, cloudy, damaged, or is missing. The included black rim also allows both the lens and its surrounding trim to be renewed together, helping restore a secure fit and consistent exterior appearance.
What This Product Does:
- Covers and protects the indicator bulb and lamp housing.
- Allows the flashing turn signal to remain clearly visible to other road users.
- Helps prevent water, dirt, dust, and road debris from entering the light assembly.
- Provides a finished, factory-style appearance with its integrated black rim.
- Replaces the corresponding left- or right-hand front indicator lens, depending on the selected reference.
- Helps maintain the correct appearance of USA-spec front lighting.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Cracks, chips, splits, or impact damage in the lens.
- Fading, yellowing, or discolouration.
- Clouding or dullness that reduces indicator visibility.
- A scratched, faded, warped, or damaged black rim.
- Moisture or condensation inside the indicator housing.
- Loose, broken, or deteriorated mounting points.
- A lens that no longer sits securely against the lamp housing.
- Water staining, corrosion, or bulb failure inside the light unit.
- A missing lens or rim.
- Reduced light output despite the bulb working correctly.
Why Replacement Matters:
- A damaged or deteriorated indicator lens can reduce the visibility of the turn signal, making it harder for other road users to understand your intentions. This is especially important in poor weather, bright sunlight, or low-light driving conditions.
- Cracks, gaps, and damaged mounting points can also allow moisture and contamination into the lamp housing. Over time, this may cause corrosion, poor electrical connections, intermittent operation, and premature bulb failure.
- Replacing the lens restores clear signalling, protects the internal components, and improves the presentation of the vehicle. The black-rimmed design also helps retain the correct period appearance and supports the originality and value of a classic Porsche.
