Diagram Ref No 28
What This Product Does
Positioned inside the console, the insert forms the lining of its storage area. It separates stored items from the underlying console surface and completes the recess when the previous lining has deteriorated or been lost.
Functions
- Provides a lining for the storage tray base.
- Separates loose contents from the console beneath.
- Reinstates the recess finish during interior refurbishment.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer: Porsche.
- Part number: 99355267500.
- Supplied diagram description: insert black.
- Installation area: centre console.
- Assembly quantity shown: 1.
- Referenced in both supplied 964 and 993 console diagrams.
Symptoms of Fault
- Absent lining leaves the tray base exposed.
- Visible splits, distortion or surface deterioration.
- Loose contents make contact noise within the recess.
- The storage compartment has an unfinished appearance.
Why Replacement Matters
Replacing an insert that has deteriorated or disappeared restores the lining between stored belongings and the console beneath. For an interior restoration, this genuine Porsche component also retains the specified black appearance. Inspect adjacent trim and fixings separately: a new insert will not repair damage elsewhere in the assembly.
FAQs
Does this include the surrounding console?
No; the product is the insert alone. Surrounding panels are separate components.
Which applications are recorded in the diagrams?
The internal references identify 964 console assemblies dated 1989–94 and 993 assemblies dated 1994–98. Use the detailed vehicle entries above when checking suitability.
What should I check before selecting it?
Match 99355267500 against your existing insert or vehicle parts information, then verify model year and console specification. Similar-looking interior pieces can differ in their fittings.
Before ordering, check compatibility with your vehicle’s model, year and engine.
