While everything else is timeless, those original lenses are starting to fade, and driving at night can be a challenge which is why our new 993 Bi-LED headlights are designed to be as future-proof as the 911 itself.
Next-Gen Performance: These LED headlights for the 993 come equipped with a high-output Bi-LED projector, similar to the OEM units on the latest 911s. The result? A much wider and brighter low beam, paired with a high beam that pierces deep into the distance. On top of that, these lights exceed SAE and DOT standards when properly aimed—easy to do with the built-in adjusters.
Plug and Play: No modifications needed. These headlights are designed to plug right into the factory connectors on all US-spec 993s, whether equipped with halogen or Xenon/Litronic headlights.
Design: Clearly inspired by a Porsche tuner’s vision, these headlights update your 993's front-end without sacrificing its iconic design. The geometry and much of the original lens texture are retained, while the optical light pipe that wraps around the housing serves as both a low-intensity parking light and full-intensity daytime running light. The four prominent hot-spots in each corner are a nod to the 991-gen 911s.
Classic or Modern White: Choose between Classic White, with warm LEDs that blend seamlessly with the original look, or Modern White for a more updated aesthetic. Either way, both the daytime running lights and the main LED projector match in color for a cohesive appearance.
Built to Last: The UV-treated polycarbonate lens ensures long-term durability, keeping your headlights looking new for years. HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. The term xenon is comes from the type of gas that is found inside the bulb.
The HID system consists of 3 parts
2 Xenon bulbs 2 Electronic ballasts 2 Built-in Igniters (they are inside the ballast).
What advantages are there with HID compared to Halogen Bulbs?
There are many advantages to HID. 1/3 less power consumption . Xenon lamps are only 35 watts. The ballasts only draw 1.2 amps of power! This puts a much lower strain on the cars electrical system. Frees up more power to power other goodies, such as audio equipment 3 times the light output: No halogen bulb can even come close to the output of a normal HID light. More light output if you do Stage 2 Safety and Visibility. More visibility equals more nighttime safety. Much more powerful than halogen, HID allows you to see farther and brighter during nighttime driving. Plus, HID approximates the temperature of sunlight, so objects appear more real.
Installation.... What is involved?
Installation of HID is not very difficult or time consuming. You need some very basic mechanic skills and a little time. Detailed Instructions are included in every kit. Installation for Xenon kits should be fitted by an engineer / auto electictian. In a nutshell, simply insert the HID light in the light housing, find a suitable location for the ballasts and run 1 wire to the bulb connect the factory harness to the ballast.
This HID conversion kit cannot be approved for road
use unless automatic levelling and washing systems are installed.
