Over time, the original expansion tank can become brittle, crack, or develop leaks due to age, fuel exposure, and repeated temperature cycles. A damaged tank can lead to fuel vapour leaks, fuel odours, and reduced efficiency of the evaporative emissions system. Replacing a worn or leaking expansion tank restores the correct operation of the fuel system while helping to maintain vehicle safety and reliability. This OE Match fuel expansion tank is ideal for routine maintenance, fuel system repairs, and Porsche restoration projects.

What This Product Does:
- Accommodates fuel expansion caused by temperature changes.
- Helps regulate pressure within the fuel system.
- Reduces the risk of fuel vapour escaping.
- Supports the correct operation of the evaporative emissions system.
- Replaces cracked, leaking, or deteriorated original expansion tanks.
- Helps maintain a sealed and efficient fuel system.
- Provides an OE-style fit and dependable quality.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Fuel smell around the vehicle.
- Cracks or damage to the expansion tank.
- Visible fuel or vapour leaks.
- Brittle or deteriorated plastic housing.
- Fuel system pressure irregularities.
- Damage discovered during fuel system servicing or restoration.
- Perished or leaking connections around the expansion tank.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The fuel expansion tank is an important component of the Porsche fuel and evaporative emissions system, providing space for fuel to expand safely as temperatures change while helping to prevent fuel vapour from escaping into the atmosphere. A cracked or leaking expansion tank can reduce the effectiveness of the fuel system, create fuel odours, and increase the risk of vapour leaks.
- Replacing a damaged expansion tank restores the correct operation of the fuel system, helps maintain proper pressure control, and contributes to safe, reliable vehicle operation. Manufactured as a direct replacement and produced to OE-style specifications, this OE Match Fuel Expansion Tank provides the correct fit, dependable performance, and long-lasting durability, making it an excellent choice for Porsche maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.
