Performance Upgrade Chip with Premuffler / Cat Bypass
Unlock the full performance of your 1989-1994 Porsche 964
Carrera 2 or Carrera 4 with the OE Match Performance Upgrade Chip. Designed
specifically for cars fitted with a premuffler, catalytic converter bypass
or sports catalytic converter, together with either the factory rear
silencers, a muffler bypass or a sports muffler.
Fits:
- Porsche 964 (911) C2 1989-93
- Porsche 964 (911) C4 1989-93
Suitable for manual and Tiptronic models, this calibration also supports vehicles fitted with an RS lightweight flywheel, with the latest LWF software fix included as standard.
Optimised for Modified Exhaust Systems
Removing the restrictive factory catalytic converter
improves exhaust flow, but the Bosch Motronic ECU requires recalibration to
fully exploit the increased airflow. OE Match software provides the additional
fuel and optimised ignition timing needed to maximise performance while
maintaining safe air-fuel ratios and preventing excessive knock sensor
intervention.
The result is:
- Stronger low and mid-range torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Elimination of the factory flat spot below 4,000 rpm
- Smoother idle
- Dyno-proven horsepower gains
- Improved everyday drivability
Your 964 feels lighter, more responsive and pulls hard from
low engine speeds, making both road driving and track use considerably more
rewarding.
Dyno Developed for Real-World Driving
Unlike generic replacement chips, OE Match calibrations are
written specifically for each engine and exhaust configuration.
Every program has been extensively developed through
hundreds of hours of dyno tuning, road evaluation and real-world testing using
everyday pump fuel. Ignition timing, fuel delivery and throttle mapping have
all been optimised to deliver:
- Smoother idle
- Increased low and mid-range torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Elimination of the factory sub-4,000 rpm flat spot
- Stronger acceleration throughout the rev range
- Dyno-proven horsepower gains
- Improved everyday drivability
Unlike inferior calibrations, OE Match software maintains safe air-fuel ratios, ensuring the engine continues to run efficiently while avoiding the lean conditions that can reduce performance and increase knock sensor activity.
Includes the Lightweight Flywheel (LWF) Fix
Every calibration includes the latest Lightweight Flywheel Fix, eliminating the stalling and RPM dip commonly experienced after fitting an RS lightweight flywheel and clutch. The software also improves clutch engagement and throttle response while remaining fully compatible with standard flywheel vehicles.
Developed Specifically for Your 964
Unlike generic performance chips, every OE Match calibration has been developed through extensive dyno testing and real-world road evaluation using premium pump fuel. Each program is written specifically for your engine and exhaust configuration, delivering maximum performance without triggering the Check Engine Light.
Suitable for:
- Porsche 964 Carrera 2 & Carrera 4 Manual or Tiptronic transmission
- Premuffler Cat bypass pipe
- Sports catalytic converter
- Factory, sports or bypass rear silencers
- Factory
or RS lightweight flywheel
Benefits
- Increased horsepower and torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Eliminates the factory sub-4,000 rpm hesitation
- Improved acceleration throughout the rev range
- Smoother idle
- Eliminates lightweight flywheel stalling
- Better everyday drivability
- Dyno-developed Bosch Motronic calibration
- Will not trigger the Check Engine Light
Porsche 964 Premuffler & Cat Bypass Performance Chips
OE Match Performance Chips are specifically developed for Porsche 964 models fitted with freer-flowing exhaust systems. By recalibrating the Bosch Motronic ECU to suit premufflers, cat bypass pipes or sports catalytic converters, the engine delivers stronger torque, improved throttle response and smoother power delivery while maintaining safe engine operation.
Whether your 964 is fitted with a standard or lightweight flywheel, manual or Tiptronic transmission, Design911 offers model-specific OE Match calibrations engineered to maximise performance and reliability.
