Performance Upgrade Chip – Varioram with Standard Flywheel and Clutch for Euro Version (55-Pin DME)
Unlock the full performance potential of your 1995-1998
Porsche 993 Varioram (European specification) with the OE Match Performance
Upgrade Chip. Developed exclusively for Euro Varioram models (excluding US
specification vehicles) fitted with the 55-pin Bosch Motronic DME
0.261.203.678, this advanced calibration transforms the performance and
drivability of Porsche's final air-cooled flat-six.
Fits:
- Porsche 993 (911) C2 1995-97
- Porsche 993 (911) C4 1995-97
- Porsche 993 (911) C2S 1995-97
- Porsche 993 (911) C4S 1995-97
Suitable for manual and Tiptronic transmissions, the OE Match Performance Chip delivers stronger low and mid-range torque, sharper throttle response and smoother power delivery while maintaining factory reliability.
Unlock the Hidden Performance of the Varioram Engine
The Varioram induction system provides excellent flexibility, but the factory Bosch Motronic calibration leaves significant performance untapped. OE Match software has been extensively developed to remove the familiar hesitation below 4,000 rpm, allowing the 3.6-litre engine to produce stronger pulling power from low RPM while delivering noticeably improved throttle response.
Benefits include:
- Increased low and mid-range torque
- Sharper throttle response
- Eliminates the factory sub-4,000 rpm flat spot
- Improved acceleration throughout the rev range
- Dyno-proven horsepower gains
- Smoother, more responsive power delivery
The result is a 993 that feels more eager, more flexible and considerably more enjoyable to drive on both road and track.
Includes the Latest Lightweight Flywheel (LWF) Software
If your vehicle has been fitted with an RS lightweight flywheel and clutch, the latest OE Match software incorporates the advanced Lightweight Flywheel Fix.
This programming:
- Eliminates lightweight flywheel stalling
- Prevents RPM dipping below idle during deceleration and gear changes
- Improves clutch engagement
- Reduces unnecessary clutch slip and wear
- Further enhances throttle response
The software is fully compatible with both standard and lightweight flywheel vehicles, and existing OE Match customers can update earlier chips to the latest LWF coding.
Optional Immobiliser / Driveblock Delete
This calibration can also be supplied with the Immobiliser / Driveblock function disabled for vehicles equipped with Porsche's factory Driveblock system.
Removing the Driveblock function eliminates the need to deactivate the immobiliser with the key fob before every journey, restoring the operation of the vehicle to that of a factory non-Driveblock model.
To complete the conversion, install jumper relay 96461018400 into relay position R61, exactly as Porsche specified for non-Driveblock vehicles.
Ordering Information
