This OE Match rear brake support mounting and plate kit is designed for Porsche 911 models from 1978 to 1989. The kit includes the essential backing plates and mounting components required to properly secure and support the rear brake assemblies.

The brake support mounting plates (also known as backing plates or protection plates) are fitted behind the rear brake discs and calipers. They serve as structural and protective components of the rear braking system, providing a mounting surface for brake hardware while shielding the braking components from road debris, dust and moisture.
This OE Match kit includes both plates required for the rear axle along with the correct mounting hardware to complete the installation.
The brake support plates help secure the rear brake assembly while also protecting sensitive components such as the brake disc, caliper and parking brake mechanism. By acting as a structural mounting point and protective shield, they help maintain the integrity and performance of the rear braking system.
