This OE match inner tie rod is a direct replacement for the original Porsche component used in the front steering system of Cayenne 9YA models (2018 onwards, including facelift 9YA.2). Installed between the steering rack and outer tie rod end, it forms the inner section of the steering linkage.

Manufactured to OE specifications, it features a precision ball joint assembly and threaded shaft, allowing smooth articulation and accurate steering input transfer. The component is engineered for durability, using high-strength materials designed to withstand constant movement, load, and road conditions.
Positioned as a front inner tie rod (rack side), it ensures proper connection within the rack-and-pinion steering system. It is compatible with both left and right sides, making it a versatile replacement part supplied individually.
This component transfers steering input from the steering rack to the outer tie rod and ultimately to the wheel hub. It allows the wheels to turn precisely while maintaining alignment and stability, ensuring responsive handling and control.

Inner tie rods are subject to continuous steering movement and road stress. Over time, internal joints can wear, leading to looseness in the steering system. A worn inner tie rod can cause poor handling, uneven tyre wear, and reduced steering precision. Replacing it restores accurate steering response and vehicle stability.

We strongly recommend replacing the power steering pump at the same time as the steering rack. Swarf (metal particles) in the power steering system can circulate and cause damage to both components. If you choose to replace only the steering rack and, upon return of your exchange unit, we discover that the rack bar is scored or contaminated with swarf, this indicates that debris is present in the system. In such cases, we advise replacing the pump as well.
Please note: if we have advised that there is swarf in the system and you choose not to replace both components, any future warranty claims related to this issue will not be valid.
