Important compatibility notes:
Our module can simulate the existence of the factory alarm if connected to the existing red LED under the rearview mirror. In order for this feature to work, these criteria must be met:
- The red LED under the rear view mirror must be present. It is on most models, even if the factory alarm is not installed. In some cases it is missing.
- The LED must be connected to the module harness with an extra wire. On some models it is additionally necessary to connect permanent +12V power to the LED if that contact is missing or does not carry permanent power. All required wires and contacts come with our kit.
