Why Choose Specialised Covers?
Waterproof & Breathable: Our Stormshield fabric used is both waterproof and breathable which offers full protection to your car from the external elements without allowing it to “sweat” under the cover. Our Outdoor Pro cover has the right balance between being waterproof and being breathable.
Guarantee: Our Outdoor Pro covers come in light grey and black with a smooth inner that is non-abrasive. There is a one year manufacture warranty which covers our workmanship and the fabric performance is guaranteed for 1 year.
Strength in the Seams: Outdoor Pro covers are put together with double strength lap seamed stitching which enhances durability. We double stitch the seams for added strength and fold over the fabric where two pieces join to create an overhang, which enables water to ‘run off’ and significantly reduces any seepage at the point of the stitch, as well as strengthening the cover along the length of the seams.
Tight Fit: Outdoor Pro covers come with elasticated corners and have webbing straps that are in front and behind the wheels along the width of the car. The buckles are hidden in their own pockets and simply click into place. We provide four adjustable straps to enable tighten the cover if necessary.
UV Protection: Our Outdoor Pro cover fabric has been impregnated with UV inhibitors creating a protective shelter for your car. This helps to maintain the condition of your car, inside and out, eliminating faded paintwork and interiors from sun damage.
Tailored Protection: It is so important when storing a car out side to have a tailored cover. The excess material that can be found on some universals can often generate more damage by flapping and moving in the wind. A cover that is designed and manufactured specifically for your car's make, model and year will give you superior fit and therefore greater protection.
FAQs:
Why do I need a car cover?
- The simple answer is you don’t. Your car can get wet and it will dry, dust and dirt will wash off if you clean it every few days and if you’re careful enough and keep your car locked away in a clean garage there’s a good chance your children won’t catch the paintwork with their handlebars as they wheel their bike down the driveway. If you’re careful enough you won’t nick the door when you walk past with your toolbox. There are many ways in which we can preserve and protect our cars; tailor fitted indoor or outdoor car covers preserve the work you put in cleaning and polishing your pride and joy.
Why shouldn’t I buy a cheaper alternative?
- Again, the simple answer is you could and the likelihood is it’ll do the job, sort of. The old adage of, ‘you get what you pay for’ couldn’t be more true when it comes to car covers. Many seemingly comparative products do exactly what they set out to do, however the overwhelming majority are mass produced overseas, semi-tailored by design and are manufactured using cheaper, sub-standard fabrics which is fundamentally how the manufacturers and retailers are able to sell these covers at up to 60% cheaper than a bespoke and fully tailor fitted car covers.
What benefits are there to having an outdoor car cover?
- The outdoor cover gives your car protection from the elements and depreciation. These include scratches, tree sap residue, UV damage, bird droppings and keeps the car clean.
What guarantee do I have with my Outdoor Pro cover?
- Outdoor Pro covers come with 1 years manufacturing and fabric guarantee as standard. This however only applies to the cover when used in the UK. If a cover is used outside the UK your guarantee is void.
Can I wash my Outdoor Pro car cover?
- All our covers have washing label instructions sewn in the front of the cover. However Outdoor pro covers should not be washed in a washing machine. We simply recommend washing the cover with warm water and a sponge whilst it is still on car and allowed to dry on the vehicle. This only needs to be done when there is an excessive build-up of dirt on the cover.
Will the Outdoor Pro cover scratch my car?
- No, as long as you follow the fitting instructions enclosed and make sure the car is clean before you fit the cover.
Is my Outdoor Pro cover customisable?
- No, the Outdoor Plus cover can be customised with availability of two different colour choices. However please note the Outdoor Pro covers are only available in black and grey. We do not recommend having logos on outdoor covers as they tend to fade with UV exposure and may draw attention to your car.
Can I use my Outdoor Pro cover inside?
- Yes, the cover can be used indoors because of its breathable nature.
What is the difference between Outdoor Pro and Outdoor Plus covers?
- They both offer great protection for your car with the Outdoor Pro being offered at a lower price point. The Outdoor Plus material is a spun bond Tri laminate and has a fleecy backing to the fabric. Outdoor Pro is a lightweight alternative and packs down very small and is available in two colours Black & Grey whereas Outdoor Plus allows you to two tone your cover selecting different colours for the side, top and wing mirror panels.
How will the heat effect my car cover?
- Due to increasing temperatures in the UK we can no longer guarantee the fabrics performance if left on in temperatures exceeding 25 degrees celsius. The ambient air temperature is not reflected in the cover temperature as these will be significantly higher if left in direct sunlight and can be almost double that of the air temperature. Therefore please note covers should be removed to prevent damage to the cover fabric which will reduce the covers life span if the temperatures are above 25 degrees celsius . Higher UV stable fabrics are available on request and incur additional costs per cover. If a cover has been left out in extreme temperatures it will not be covered under its warranty and can be tested to confirm heat damage has occurred.
Why is there moisture on my car?
- At certain times of the year especially in autumn you will find that dew is laying on grass and caravans. This will still happen underneath your cover because your vehicle is a cold piece of metal. There’s no need to worry the cover isnt leaking, the dew will vaporise as the temperature rises and it will escape through your cover.
Will this cover work if my mirrors are folded in?
- Most of our outdoor covers are designed to fit vehicles with the wing mirrors in the open position. Due to the structure of the material, the cover may not fit properly if the mirrors are folded when the car is locked. If you prefer to keep your mirrors folded, please contact us by email or phone — we may be able to supply a specially manufactured cover designed to accommodate folded mirrors.

Each hand-tailored cover begins with the creation of a bespoke pattern, meticulously crafted to match the contours of your vehicle. Our artisans carefully tailor the pattern in cloth, using traditional techniques to ensure an exact fit that hugs every curve and line of your car.
Our approach to crafting tailored covers reflects a blend of tradition and innovation. In an era pre-dating computer-aided design, our process resembled bespoke tailoring, akin to the meticulous craftsmanship seen on Savile Row. Our initial patterns were created by draping cloth over vehicles, shaped with precision through pinning and sculpting. This method involved marking cloth panels with vehicle features – handles, outlines, arches – guiding our cutting and design teams for an impeccable fit.
We now hold a huge archive of over 4000 cloth patterns however new vehicles continually emerge, necessitating new pattern creation.
