This is a direct-fit parking brake (handbrake) cable manufactured as an OE Match equivalent to the Porsche reference 987 424 141 06 (replaces for 987 424 141 05 and 987 424 141 04).
The cable transfers your handbrake lever input into mechanical force at the rear brakes, helping hold the vehicle securely when parked- especially on inclines. A correctly operating cable also supports even left/right parking brake balance when adjusted properly.
