Information
Convertible top latch.
Includes one latch and one hook; two sets are required per vehicle. Mounting screws are not included.
OE Match convertible top latch for Porsche 356 Speedster, Convertible, and Roadster models. Precision-engineered to match the original hardware, this durable latch securely locks the roof in place, ensuring a tight fit, quiet cabin, and authentic look. It consists of a latch and hook assembly — usually two per car (one each side) — that engage when the top is closed.
Fits:
Porsche 356 A 1950 - 1959 Speedster
Porsche 356B/356C 1960 - 1965 Roadster
F 86 831 >> 87 825
Diagram ref no 5
Original latches can wear, corrode, or lose their precise fit over time, leading to top sloppiness, wind noise, or failure to stay closed. A failed catch may cause the top to lift or move while driving, risking damage or safety issues. Installing a well-made OE-Match catch restores correct tension, function, and peace of mind on the road.
