DesignTek’s Stage 1 twin turbo upgrade service converts customer-supplied Porsche 993 911 GT2 turbochargers to MD435 & MD436 hybrid specifications. Complete turbochargers are not included.
How the Service Works
Provide your current turbocharger pair for the upgrade work. Alternatively, obtain new turbochargers separately and arrange their modification independently; buying those units does not include this service.

Symptoms of Fault
Investigate blue exhaust smoke, unusual whining, rising oil consumption, slow boost build-up or erratic boost delivery before proceeding. Similar behaviour can arise from leaking hoses, restricted lubrication or boost-control faults, so symptoms alone do not establish turbocharger failure.
Why Replacement Matters
An upgrade is not a remedy for an unresolved mechanical problem. Have the existing units assessed and inspect their oil supply, return lines, intake connections and control hardware. Any underlying fault should be corrected, with calibration matched to the finished engine specification.

The intercoolers control the side to side flow design that flows along it's 16inch length. This IC will be more than sufficient for any highly tuned 996TTs or GT2s cars to applications of up to 900hp. DesignTek Porsche intercoolers produces high-flow rate and dramatic temperature reduction which are mainly contributed by two key factors. Firstly, the great temperature reduction is accomplished by a 40% larger than stock sized intercooler cores in which each core has the capacity flow rate of 750 CFM. Secondly, which in our opinion is the most important element of an IC; the inlet/outlet end-tanks. Our end-tanks are optimized to greatly increase air flow and reduce pressure drop which yields to improved efficiency. External aluminium surfaces are preserved with silver/grey protective coating.
