What This Product Does
This component forms the visible covering of the side ventilation opening in the dashboard. It replaces the corresponding vent trim, rather than the dashboard panel or the ventilation system behind it.
Functions
- Provides trim at the dashboard side vent opening.
- Replaces a damaged or missing vent cover.
- Supports refurbishment of the original dashboard layout.
Technical Details
- Left-hand reference: 91155207100.
- Right-hand reference: 91155207200.
- The supplied assembly diagrams identify both references as side vents.
- Confirm the required side before ordering; the two references identify different positions.
Symptoms of Fault
- Visible cracks or deterioration in the vent trim.
- Loose fitment or rattling around the vent opening.
- Damaged mounting points or a missing cover.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing deteriorated vent trim helps restore the dashboard's appearance and fit. Inspect the surrounding mounting points before installation, as damage elsewhere may prevent the replacement from seating correctly. OE Match focuses on replacement components for Porsche repairs and restoration.
FAQs
Which reference corresponds to each side?
91155207100 identifies the left-hand vent; 91155207200 identifies the right-hand vent.
Why do the diagram positions differ?
Item numbers depend on the assembly illustration. Match the part reference and vehicle application rather than relying on an item number alone.
What should I check before fitting?
Compare the replacement with the existing cover and inspect its fixing points. Use suitable trim tools to avoid damaging adjacent dashboard surfaces.
