Block-off caps are commonly fitted where anti-roll bar mounting points are unused or where original components have been removed. Over time, the original cap can become brittle, cracked, lost, or damaged through age and exposure, leaving the mounting point exposed to corrosion and contamination. Replacing the cap restores protection to the fitting while maintaining the original appearance of the suspension assembly, making this OE Match component an ideal choice for Porsche maintenance and concours-quality restorations.
What This Product Does:
- Seals unused anti-roll bar mounting points.
- Prevents dirt, moisture, and road debris from entering the fitting.
- Protects mounting threads and surrounding components from corrosion.
- Maintains a clean, factory-style appearance.
- Replaces missing, cracked, or damaged block-off caps.
- Helps preserve unused suspension mounting points.
- Provides an OE-style fit for straightforward installation.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Missing block-off cap.
- Cracked, split, or brittle cap.
- Dirt or moisture entering the mounting point.
- Corrosion developing around the fitting.
- Loose or poorly fitting cap.
- Damage caused during suspension repairs.
- Deterioration identified during restoration or inspection.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The block-off cap is a simple but important protective component that seals unused anti-roll bar fittings against moisture, dirt, and road contaminants. Without adequate protection, exposed mounting points can corrode over time, making future installation of suspension components more difficult and detracting from the overall appearance of the suspension assembly.
- Replacing a damaged or missing block-off cap restores protection to the fitting, helps prevent corrosion, and preserves the original factory appearance of the underbody. Manufactured as a direct replacement and produced to OE-style specifications, this OE Match Block-Off Cap for Anti Roll Bar Fitting provides reliable fit, performance, and durability for Porsche maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.

Anti-Roll Bars (ARB’s) play an important role in a vehicle’s suspension system, helping to reduce body roll by transferring cornering load from one side of a vehicle to the other.
Often mounted to the vehicle’s chassis with rubber bushes, these bushes ensure the bar works as intended. To prevent the anti-roll bar from moving laterally within its mounts when turning, OE manufacturers will either bond the bushes to the bar, add dead-stops to the bar itself, or rely solely on the clamping pressure of the rubber.
But what happens when those bushes wear and need to be replaced? Often anti-roll bars with bonded bushes come as a costly complete assembly, so the alternative is to fit a more cost-effective unbonded polyurethane replacement, like the many we offer.
In most cases, friction from the bush will prevent any side-to-side bar movement. Still, when turning aggressively or cornering at higher speeds, a laterally shifting anti-roll bar decreases the efficiency and effectiveness of the bar, changing the dynamics of your suspension system in unpredictable ways. It also poses the risk of the bar fouling on other areas of the vehicle or suspension system.
