This cover conceals the seat belt anchor plate, protecting it from dirt, moisture, and wear. It also enhances the interior appearance by hiding exposed mounting hardware, ensuring a neat and factory-correct finish. Additionally, it helps prevent accidental contact with sharp or protruding components.
Function
The primary function of this component is to act as a protective and cosmetic cover for the seat belt anchor point. It reduces exposure to contaminants that could lead to corrosion while maintaining the integrity of the mounting area. By securing over the anchor plate, it also contributes to passenger safety by minimizing interference with the seat belt mechanism.
Over time, original anchor plate covers can become cracked, faded, or go missing entirely. This not only detracts from the vehicle’s interior aesthetics but also leaves the anchor point exposed to damage and corrosion.
Replacing a worn or missing cover helps preserve originality, maintain value, and protect critical mounting hardware.
When to replace
• Cover is cracked, broken, or missing
• Visible fading or discoloration affecting interior appearance
• During interior restoration or refurbishment
• After seat belt or anchor point servicing
• Signs of loose or poor fitment
