What This Product Does
This component is the lower washer used with the transmission's rubber mounting arrangement. It is mounting hardware, rather than a replacement rubber mount or an internal gearbox component.
Technical Details
- Part reference: 91437523700.
- Location: lower position within the gearbox rubber mounting assembly.
- Material and finish: galvanised steel.
- Both supplied assembly diagrams specify two washers; this is the assembly requirement, not a stated pack quantity.
Symptoms of Fault
Clunking when taking up drive, unusual vibration or excessive drivetrain movement can warrant inspection of the transmission mounts and their fixings. These symptoms do not establish that the washer itself is faulty; the rubber mounts and surrounding hardware should also be checked.
Why Replacement Matters
During mount repairs or restoration, inspect the lower washers alongside the mounting bolts, brackets and rubber components. Replacing a washer should not be treated as a remedy for a deteriorated mount, worn linkage or internal transmission fault.
FAQs
Is this a complete gearbox mount?
No. This product is the lower steel washer used with the rubber mounting assembly.
Will replacing it resolve difficult gear selection?
Not necessarily. Mounts, linkage and clutch condition can all influence gear selection, so diagnosis should establish the cause before parts are replaced.
How many washers does the assembly use?
Each supplied diagram records a requirement of two for this part reference.
