What This Product Does
The sender measures the fuel remaining in the tank and provides an electrical signal for the dashboard gauge. Its role is fuel-level indication; it does not generate fuel delivery pressure.
Functions
- Detects changes in tank fuel level.
- Provides the signal used for dashboard fuel indication.
- Supports fuel monitoring between refuelling stops.
Technical Details
- Product reference: 95562080500.
- Installation position: LEFT.
- Brand: OE Match.
- Application families: Cayenne 9PA (955) and 9PA1 (957).
- Internal diagrams identify the sender separately from the fuel pumps, flanges and sealing rings.
Symptoms of Fault
- Fuel indication remains at empty or full.
- Gauge readings jump unexpectedly.
- Displayed fuel quantity fails to increase after filling.
- Low-fuel warnings appear inconsistent with the fuel remaining.
- Intermittent readings accompany damaged wiring or corroded terminals.
Why Replacement Matters
Replacing a confirmed faulty sender helps restore dependable fuel indication. Check the wiring, connectors and gauge before replacement, as faults elsewhere can produce similar symptoms. Inspect the associated seal during the repair; leakage around the mounting area requires attention independently of the sender signal.
FAQs
- Does an incorrect reading prove the sender has failed?
No. Connector condition, wiring and the instrument system should also be checked. - Will this replace a failing fuel pump?
No. This component monitors fuel quantity rather than supplying fuel to the engine. - Should the seal be renewed?
Renew the associated seal during sender replacement to address deterioration and help prevent vapour leakage. Confirm the correct seal separately.

What This Product Does
The sender converts changes in tank fuel level into an electrical signal used by the fuel gauge. Its role is measurement rather than pumping fuel to the engine, so an inaccurate gauge reading should be investigated separately from a fuel-delivery fault.
Functions
- Monitors the quantity of fuel in the tank.
- Provides the fuel-level signal for dashboard indication.
- Replaces the right-hand sender in the specified tank assembly.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match.
- Installation position: Right.
- Current reference: 95562080601.
- Superseded Porsche reference: 95562080600.
- Application families: Cayenne 9PA (955) and 9PA1 (957).
Symptoms of Fault
- A fuel gauge that remains at empty or full.
- Sudden changes in the displayed fuel level.
- Little or no indicated increase after adding fuel.
- An unreliable low-fuel warning.
- Intermittent readings or corrosion at the sender connections.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a confirmed faulty sender helps restore useful fuel-level information for refuelling decisions. Before replacement, inspect the wiring, earth connections and gauge circuit, as these can produce similar symptoms. Check the sealing area during the repair; fuel odour may indicate a separate seal problem.
FAQs
Does an incorrect reading prove the sender has failed?
No. Connector condition, wiring and the instrument circuit also need checking before the sender is condemned.
Is this a replacement fuel pump?
No. This component reports fuel level; it is not the pump that supplies the engine.
Should the sealing ring receive attention?
Yes. Inspect it during removal and renew an aged or damaged seal using the correct application-specific part.
